Frequent Traveller #66: How to go from the Airport of Cambodia to the City
How to go from the Airport of Cambodia to the City
Before entering a country I always check how the transportation works from the Airport to the Citycenter. In Asia there is always people trying to scam you. I had problems in Korea with different colored Cabs etc. Or Cab drivers having rigged Taxi-Meter in Shanghai. In Phnom Penh the Airport Authority has a booth and you will receive a paper with the prices for TukTuks or Cabs. (Tuktuk 9 USD, Taxi 12 USD)
Taxi Booth
InterContinental Phnom Penh
Lobby
Comfy Bed
A great value Hotel in Phnom Penh
Hotels in Phnom Penh are expensive. The Sofitel was 250 USD per night... The Interconti was 140 USD per night, so a bargain compared to the other Hotels. Cambodia uses the USD as a currency. Everything is paid in USD and food and Hotels are expensive.
Have you been to Cambodia ???
