FARM #1: My first day ever on a farm and a perfect dinner!!!

in #food8 years ago (edited)

First time in my life I spent 5 days on a farm with family and friends

We were 10 Kids and 20 Adults and had rented a huge farm in the North of Germany. It was the first time in my life spending a couple of days on a farm so I was excited. I arrived from Asia and had packed a lot winter stuff, but it was still warm mid-September in Germany.

My room (nothing fancy)

Our friend made a Peking Duck (Everybody has to cook one meal)

I love the clean air, nothing compared to Asia... feels so good

We rented one hall where we hang and had dinner etc.

OMG, that Peking Duck looks insane...

Noodles for the kids!

This is looking so delicious!!!

It was awesome, my friend really set the bar high for us...

I love duck and this duck was incredible

So on this first day we had an awesome dinner, our friend really set the bar for others super high with this incredible perfect Peking duck.... But it's always like that, everybody wants to show off their skills so I took that challenge! Don't miss the next episodes of FARM !!!

Oh great, now I am hungry.

hey aldentan ;) sorry next post will make you even more hungry..

This is what they mean fresh from the farm. :-)

Title: ... dinnner (extra n) :-)

I looked at my titles ;) hope they are all ok

I grew up on a crop farm in the midwest of the US. All I did as a kid was pick rocks and pick some more rocks. I hated it.

In the US the small family farms and experience have slowly vanished turning into just another mammoth corporate glomeration of power and greed leaving many of the old families and their farms in the dust.

yes its the same anywhere in the world. the problem I see is that we get resistent crops , animals which are held under terrrible conditiions. I try to buy 80/20% organic food , but I am not sure if this really helps

That is an awesome experience! Have a wonderful stay! I am from Germany, but stay in Australia for a year right now :)

Amazing meal you got there @knozaki2015. You are right, nothing compares to the air in Asia.

the air in asia is so bad. I hope they will soon start building up electric car infrastructure. especially china !

We had a goat dairy for two years in Idaho before my crazy parents decided to move to Chile. Crazy is a term of endearment by the way. Here I am milking our Queen goat "Emma." She's an Alpine.

I look forward to the rest of your story about the farm. STEEM ON!

oh wow ! you know how to do that . incredible !

I've never stayed at a farm but that looks amazing! I need to plan a getaway :) I'm in Asia right now and just got sick about a week ago because the pollution is so bad.

it was a very interesting expierience. more to come soon !

I just want to remember what romance sounds like :)

;) yeah sitting at the camp fire etc. I like that kind of stuff !
