• Unicorns have been around in art since 5000-3500 B.C., the Mesopotamian era.
• They've also made appearances in ancient China, Greece and India.
• They are mentioned in the Bible 9 times! (Under the name re'em.)
• They are often described among normal creatures like lions, sheep and goats.
• Early Christians used the Unicorn as a symbol for Christ.
• Scotland made it their National animal in the 1300s and it still is today.
• In 2016 bones of a Elasmotherium sibiricum or Siberian Unicorn were found.
• This creature stood 6-feet high, was 15-feet long and could have weighed upwards of 8000 pounds! And it had a horn. 😎
• There have been recent video-recorded sightings of Unicorns.
• Sometimes horned animals are born with abnormalities resulting in not two, but only one horn. These are NOT unicorns, but do have one horn.
