The translation
With this translation I finished the last couple of hundred words for the Buffer chapter. Somehow it feels weirdly strange to have come to the end of it. Even though it was a pain in the ass, it's still strange to move on to another chapter and not understanding a word, where the last chapter had just grown on me. I've moved on to the Chapter of Child Processes, something I've luckily already heard about before I started this, but this doesn't make it any easier.
However, I managed to get to the bottom of it, so I am not worried about the translation, except for one slight problem I encountered where I wasn't sure what the context of the text was.
Because of this, there were two possible translations with two entirely different meanings. The only thing to do in cases like this one is to comment on this particular string and hope someone will answer.
In total, I translated exactly 1100 words, 11% of the Child Process Chapter.

I've finished around 700 words for the Child Process chapter, which means I still have to do a little over 6000 words. I am expecting to have all that translated in 5 to 6 translations, hopefully by the end of January. It will get me close to the 3% mark overall, but not quite enough.
