Catherine could see and feel herself losing consciousness, she knew she was not going to survive this, whoever was trying to suffocate her was much bigger, and stronger, she was just 13 and half, she wondered how many dey were in the house, she struggled to breathe, and noticed the person was trying to get her naked, but the tights she wore was proving to be difficult.. Catherine immediately remembered she had a bottle close to her, the same bottle she drank from, she struggled to move to the edge, her assailant was too focused on trying to get the tights off her...!!!

She struggled and got hold of the bottle and with all her might, she brought down the bottle on the head of her assailant... He screamed, removing his hands off her mouth and nose, she breathed in relief…But her joy was fa from over, after the first shock of pain, the assailant took the bottle off her hands whilst she started screaming, he broke the bottle and started stabbing her legs in frenzy, her laps, she was screaming at the top of her voice, she couldn't believe that she was being stabbed to death, Catherine screamed, she heard their front door being forced open...!!!

She felt life leaving her, saw her assailant jumped up off her, got to the window and scaled the fence out... Catherine couldn't move, or make any sound, all she could hear was the wailing of her siblings who were somewhere around... Catherine hoped they were not wounded, then she saw the light switch go on, saw some people shouting her names... Catherine couldn't keep her eyes open anymore.. Death was sure, death felt comfortable,...The 13year old slowly gave up...!!

Chinedu woke up with a start... It was a nightmare, yet it looked so real, so real, Chinedu knew something was terribly wrong but he didn't know what, he felt his breathing catch, his mind went to his daughter, he wished they were so close, so he could go check on her, he felt guilty that he hadn't even written any letter to her since she left him, he wasn't being a good father, and he knew it...
