ITOHAN was on her wits end, she was so stressed, her mum was constantly making her life unbearable, constantly nagging her to submit to her pimping her off, ITOHAN was just not in a happy place, Chinedu had stopped sending money or letters for months now, even her letters went unanswered, she just didn't know what to think, was he cheating on her? Has he found someone else?... All this questions and no answers available, her only consolation was baby Catherine, she was a darling to any who saw her, with her flowing long hair and her so much bright fair skin, she was hard not to see... And with her smiling all the time, everyone was enthralled by her....!!

ITOHAN loved her job very much and after working for months, she decided to go in for a part time course in the university, having a good certificate will help her in the future, but she needed help with baby Catherine, and she needed finance to help her, baby Catherine was due to be in kindergarten, she was already home schooled by ITOHAN,..ITOHAN needed support, a support she couldn't get from her mum or Chinedu... One thing on her mind... She had to go see Chinedu, so she took some time off work... Took baby Catherine, and off she went...!

Chinedu was now an addict gambler, he was past control, and even his colleagues tried stepping him, telling him, his responsibilities, being that he's not even winning in any of the bets, instead he was losing and heavily in debt, yet Chinedu was past listening to any...!

Mr. James looked at the beautiful picture of baby Catherine, she was such a beautiful girl, he couldn't understand why Chinedu was so self-centered, parents were supposed to look after the future and wellbeing of their kids, but in this case he was seeing the reverse, he sighs, put back the picture took his bags and walked out the door, yes, he was done in Nigeria, he was finally leaving, with a last look and wave, he got into the waiting car...!

Chinedu felt regret, watching Mr. James drive off, his decision began to haunt him, what was he thinking? How did he get so caught up in himself, but like everything in his life, his pride set in, he summed it up to just one lost opportunity, and hoping others will come, of course they will definitely come... He had to change into his coveralls, he still had work to do, it was just break time, he thought of ITOHAN, he stopped, he was messing everything up with her, he knew, but she loved him, and nothing will change that... With that he continued dressing, then he turned and saw her... She was staring at him… ITOHAN was standing so silently staring at him with baby Catherine who stood and looked at him.... Chinedu felt his stomach turn... Oh shit!!!
