Chinedu got home, he was feeling so tired, it was a long day today at work today… His baby was growing well, she is such a beauty, and people say she looks so much like him. His relationship with ITOHAN was getter colder by the day, he still love her so much no doubt, and he knows she loves him, but he just can't do what she wants, he has make up his mind on what to do and he wasn't going to allow her change his mind.. He had decided she wasn't leaving the country with Mr. James, as for going to see her father, he had decided he was going to make a lot of money first... He was going to show that man that he was capable of being a rich man... Telling ITOHAN was the reason behind her coldness... He understood n with time he felt she will... Thankfully tomorrow was free work day… He was going to try get her to laugh...
Chinedu woke up to a loud knocking and baby Catherine crying, apparently she too was jolted awake by the knocking too, and he got up as he noticed ITOHAN too getting up... Another knock, Chinedu rushed to open asking who it was... On opening the door... The last person he was expecting to see... ITOHAN mother... Oh damn!!!
She brushed past him with a word, and went inside,.. Chinedu with raised eyes wondered what's going on... He got back inside...
ITOHAN looked at him for a long time, her mum was with baby Catherine, so she could talk to Chinedu... Looking at him and telling him was not going to be easy, but that's the only way she could think of to win back her man to marry her n make her responsible and not just a girl who's got a baby with a man who's not her husband yet… So far he's said nothing, and she was not feeling comfortable with his silence... But she waited for him... Waiting patiently
Chinedu didn't see this coming, he will never have anticipated this move of hers, yet she's done it... How could she send for her mum, and as if that wasn't enough, she's telling him now, that she's leaving with her mum with baby Catherine, her excuse... She wants him to save up and do what he's supposed to do... Well her reasons were valid, and it was a five hour drive to her mum's, but Chinedu felt hurt... He wasn't happy, and the painful part is, he could see her mind was made up... And with her mum here it shows it was out of his power to refuse... So silently he stared at her, and watched her watching him, then slowly she got up and began to pack... Chinedu felt the first signs of tears dripping down....
