It's been a month since ITOHAN had the talk of going to see her father for the dowry list, she understood finance was tight for Chinedu, yet, a little effort by just getting a bottle of wine to go explain to her father was all she wanted, baby Catherine was almost 3 months old now, and ITOHAN felt something has to change, it was embarrassing enough that she got pregnant in her father's house, and out wedlock.... ITOHAN was set to remedy that, she decided to pay her father a visit...

Leaving the house this morning, Chinedu felt something wasn't right with ITOHAN, she looked unusually quiet, even the chuckling of baby Catherine couldn't bring out any reaction from her, Chinedu could guess it was the discussion they had and his reluctance in going, she shouldn't blame him, her father wasn't just the welcoming man someone should be eager to go see... He got dressed and left, half listening as he was leaving for work when ITOHAN was saying she was going to pay her father a visit, he nodded is accent, and walked towards baby Catherine who upon seeing him, gave him the reserved smiles she gave him, with a peck on both mum and daughter, he finally left....!!

Chinedu came back from the office, and met an empty house, this surprised him, he was expecting ITOHAN would be back from her visit, but it was obvious she wasn't, so he let himself in, and proceeded to make dinner for his family, soon enough, ITOHAN came in... With a hug and a kiss, they both welcomed home each other, with ITOHAN explaining the traffic the main issues of her coming in late... Of course baby Catherine was happy to see her father, from all eyes, anyone could see that she and her father had a special bond...

ITOHAN, was grateful for Chinedu for preparing dinner, the trip to her father's house was both a joyful and strangely weird, joyful because everyone who saw baby Catherine loved her instantly, it was sweet to watch her siblings clamor over her... Weird in the sense because as soon as baby Catherine saw her dad... She gave a little scream, and attempted to go to her dad... And when her father carried her, both sat quietly, staring at each other, her dad muttering words to baby Catherine, and baby Catherine quietly listening, and this went for over an hour... ITOHAN couldn't explain it... Well she and her dad, talked briefly, and he hinted on what was supposed to be done, pointing out to her that Chinedu's presence with a delegate from his family will go a long way than the actual dowry payment...

Because according to her father, seeing a delegate from his family or even his father, it would go a long way to make him understand that his people accepted his daughter... Then after both families meet, they could allow the couple to work towards having financial stability before the actual wedding... ITOHAN was grateful for her dad for understanding... She was going to bring up the subject with Chinedu again tonight....!!
