Chinedu was fidgeted on his seat, listening to Itohan’s dad talking was really stripping him off all his self-confidence, but like every other thing, he disguise his feelings very sleekly way, sitting upright and looking respectfully at him, he answered every question thrown at him, and endured the icy cold stare he was getting from her father... Some minutes later her elder siblings joined, two guys and a lady... All in the same age range with him... Yeah!! It became scorching hot for him... They sat quietly without making a sound, simply just looking at him... Then her father threw a dangling question at him... What do you really want with my daughter young man?

Chinedu looked up, looking squarely at her father, and he said... I love your daughter sir, I know, I may not be worthy of her, but I am so very sure that I will never do anything to hurt her, I'll do everything to protect her, make her happy, and see she finds joy in all she chose to do..

Chinedu finished and everyone just sat there, looking at him, apart from ITOHAN of course, who's been sitting on the floor since they got in, her head bowed low...

He listened to him, he liked him, and he saw Chinedu really loved his daughter, but why was he so skeptical about all this, why was that feeling still there... He couldn't place his hands to it, but for now he decided to allow it... Because even if he said no... She was going to sneak to him otherwise, so maybe allowing them would make him watch this smooth looking young man closely...

ITOHAN, couldn't believe her eyes, and ears, when she heard her father give his approval, she felt like dancing, but she stayed quietly, and smiled instead, her father got up in his full length, stretching forth his hands to Chinedu, Chinedu shook it, but instead he was drawn close, and her father whispered some words to him, and then gave him an icy smile, he let go of his hand.. Nodding his approval, he signaled they could go…

Itohan and Chinedu got out, and immediately they left the compound both hugged and started kissing and laughing, they were, happy, they were blessed... She kissed him, promising to see him the next day... She turned and left back home...

ITOHAN got home and went directly to her father, she went on her knees, she thanked her father, silently he watched her, then eventually he gave a rare smile took her hands in his... I love you daughter, you remind me so much of me, I wish most times you were a man instead, I see greatness in you, I just hope you will walk into how I see you, that young man seems nice, smooth, and he loves you... But let me make it clear to you, what I told him... If he hurts you, I'll kill him, not just him, but his entire family will be erased from this earth…!!!!!
