HOW STEEMIT CHANGED OUR LIVES? - THE STORY OF A STEEMIT COUPLE

my name is Joey Sison I am 28 years old and my wife is Joecyla Sison 28 years old, were married for almost 5 years and still counting, we're both patiently waiting for our baby. You can read our waiting moment here, we are doing steemit together even our improvement in steemit is so slow, we know it doesn't matter, the important thing is we are still doing it.

It is good to be slow than to start nothing.

This time we agree to share our story on how steemit change and still changing our lives from good to best. (I noticed that all the winners are sharing their personal story so this time we decided to share our story together, please read.

I am working as reports analyst in an austrilian company and my duty and responsibility is to provide the needs of my wife and my future baby. As an employee it is so hard to earn money, for almost 7 years of working I don't have savings that can sustain my family that's why I look for a part time job, I tried to become a part time professor, networker, getting clients in upwork but for it doesn't work. Before, my wife worked as a Business Processor, Call Center Agent, Insurance agent, teacher, putting up her small business and many more. We worked together as a tag team so that when our baby comes we can provide for her/him.

As time goes by, my wife get tired and I decided to let her stay and just rest in our home so that we can have a baby. I do the work outside and she do the work in our home. (I said to her, I'll do the work outside but you'll work for me, she agree as long as all of my salary will go to her, hahaha LOL).

One day, my wife meet @ankarlie and @maverickinvictus in messenger and they shared the opportunity that we could have in steemit. Before we don't pay attention on it because we know nothing about blogging but later on when we try to join steemit we see the opportunity that steemit could give us. I thank God because many people help us to understand the flow of steemit, we got connected to the communities that really supports us and keep on supporting us. I thank God for support that they are giving us, without their help I know we are still blinded how steemit works. Through this platform we meet different people in different community, we got new friends, mentors. People who have different nationality, attitudes, culture. We also want to thank @surpassinggoogle, @steemsecrets, @steemgigs, who teaches us about changing our perspective in life and in steemit. He also motivates us through his upvotes and comments.

We want also to grab this opportunity to thank all the people who belong to these family or community.

Steemit helps us to have another source of income, it is not big as people expect it but still, we are grateful because it is still an income. I got my first 50 SBD that I worked out for almost 2 months, my wife has a total of 8.876 SBD to be exact since she started. If we will sum it up through steemit we received almost 6,000 to 7,000 pesos. I know it is quite small but we still thank God for this, if we will become faithful to little God knows we will be faithful to much. We don't pull it out because we will keep it as savings of our future baby. This is how steemit gives us a new way of saving money for our future baby. Sometimes, I feel like quitting, to spend almost 2 hours in composing our post is quite discouraging when you see that there is only $.01 upvote on it. So frustrating isn't?

But I keep on posting because of our future baby, I feel motivated again, I know I am in a sowing stage and I believe we will reap what we sow. There is time for everything, we have our own timing.

I need to equip myself to teach them and to guide them to understand steemit. That is why I am looking for mentors who can help me so that I can help other people also. Like a movie "Pay it forward".

Through steemit, I also learn to do something that I never done before, actually steemit is my pusher, not in drugs but pusher to go beyond my limitation. I learn how to create video, I learn how to become a photgrapher (but not like a pro), I learn how to make a poem, stories, meme, and because of steemit I am challenge to make a painting, to play a piano and guitar because of the contest. Indeed steemit is a talent cultivator, people now has a platform to share their talents.

I apply all those new learnings in my post, you can see it if you want hehehe, through this links poem, stories, video, meme, infographics. Before I am limited to excel file because my work is reports analyst, but this time I learn how to do new things and it really improve my skills. Thanks to steemit for that.

Through steemit I have something in me that I could offer to other people, they said it is good to give than to receive. That is very true in all aspect. But when I go to other place and meet other people what is this thing that I could offer to them, that could help them financially?

Through steemit I gain this courage to have self confidence because I know we have something to offer to other people. Steemit gave us confidence to say to ourselves, hey guys we have something to share to you.

Steemit teaches me to help people by giving them a net and a boat for them to fish, because if I will give them a fish for a day it will not help, so this time I offer to people a boat (steemit). Because through steemit they could start another source of income. That's why when I got invited to speak in a leadership seminars in different schools, I shared steemit so that through that I can help them find a job or part time job.
