We have done long division before but we will see that when we use long division with a bigger number we will not use the first number in our sum. Two digit devisors are more complicated but it is still very easy as I know you all know your multiplication tables.

When we have bigger numbers to divide and we do not have a calculator we have to estimate how many time our number will go into the number that has to be divided. If we find that the answer is the same or bigger than the amount we are dividing with we will know that our top answer is wrong.

 We must always remember that if we cannot divide the number into the next number to always put O there before bringing down the next number.

See we can estimate or work the answer out on a piece of loose paper. This will make us do our multiplication by heart. I hope you like doing this and really enjoy your day doing maths.
