Steemit Music League Season 2 Round 2- Mr. Right
The Steemit Music League Challenge is an open music contest for rappers, MCs, singers, vocalists, and producers. Basically, if you have a passion for music you can submit an entry every round.
This round's theme is: Dance Anthems- MY FAVORITE THEME!
This week, I moved up from the free Music Maker Jam, and purchased the Music Maker. To show the difference, here is a picture of the Music Maker Jam.
In the free Music Maker Jam program, I could use the pre-made loops by adding the different sounds from the different music collections. It is good for anyone who is beginning or learning to make music. This program is limited, because I can not cut the loops, and the vocals repeat to fill the time.
I could put in all my sounds at the beginning, turn them all off, and then copy them to the rest of the song. As I was creating the song, I could turn on the instruments, or vocals I wanted, or change them from the loops I have.
In the Music Maker, I have more freedom when creating the song, but it is not as organized. I must count. 😊 But this program allows me to lengthen or shorten any of the loops, so that I have more control over them.
I can still use all the pre-made loops from the Music Maker Jams, and the program came with a new collection of loops, which I used for this Steemit League Challenge. But, this program is closer to the professional programs like logic pro, and Fl Studio, and I hope will be helpful to me while transitioning to more complicated software.
I used the Music Maker program to create the song, “Mr. Right” and then used the theme of the song, to make the video using the Sims 4 game, and the Wondershare Filmora video program. I hope you like it.

A really smart idea you got going there, advancing bit by bit in the program ladder. I am sure once you get going in a full-blown DAW you will do magnificent things. Your arrangement skills are top notch. and while I don't like vocals in tracks much I can tell you had a good time creating this
Thanks! I have tried to go right to the advanced software, but it's all Greek to me :D I still need to learn the vocabulary. I did have lots of fun with this song. I'm not very fond of using the pre-made vocals.
kids in Greece can speak greek effortlessly, meaning you will get it, as long as you love creating music it will find you. There are amazing tutorials out there that will help you get started and incidentally I will create some tutorials in and with my favorite underdog DAW most people wish they knew about but may be too attached to their current one to consider switching.
So your patience may turn out to be a plus ;)
When you get into D igital A udio W orkstations the vocabulary will come all by itself. Til then keep gathering mileage, you got a lot going for ya. Arrangement is not as easy as you make it seem through your tracks, and I know lots of producers (me included) who may be familiar with the vocabulary but struggle to create an enticing arrangement like you have done here (again).

Love how you use those vocals and your beat to create such a catchy song that keeps you moving.
That switch-up around 1:00 is so dope and you show off that beat so nicely after that.
My favorite part is around 1:48 that sequence gets you moving.
