[사운드] Venus

Dutch Sound를 국내에 최초로 소개한 그룹입니다. 네델란드 출신의 혼성 그룹인 Shocking Blue는 70년대 한국에 네델란드 음악을 처음 알리며 당시 국내에서 유행하던 고고춤에 어울리는 음악적 트렌드를 만들어 내게 됩니다.

록 밴드 Shocking Blue는 1967년 첫 앨범을 낸 혼성 그룹입니다. 이들의 음악은 국내에서는 Venus가 거의 유일하게 알려져 있습니다. 이국적인 정서와 팝의 정서를 동시에 지니고 있었지만 대중적인 인지도는 그다지 높지 않은 그룹이었습니다.

Venus, 1970년 빌보드 차트에서 연속 3주간 1위를 차지한 곡입니다. 여성 보컬 Mariska Veres의 개성있고 힘있는 음색과 단순하면서 리듬감이 넘치는 곡의 특징은 듣는 이로 하여금 이 곡의 매력에 빠져들게 만드는 힘이 있습니다.

이 곡은 1986년 Bananarama라는 그룹에 의해 다시 불려지게 되고 다시 한번 곡의 생명력을 많은 음악팬들에게 입증하게 되는데요.
