[사운드] Les Feuilles Mortes
아 나는 그대가 기억하기를 간절히 원해요.
우리가 정다웠었던 행복한 날들을
그때는 삶이 더욱 아름다웠고
그리고 태양은 오늘보다 더 작렬했었지요
낙엽이 무수히 나뒹굴어요...
한국인에게 가장 친숙한 샹송중에 한곡입니다. 시인 자크 프레베르가 작사하고 조제프 코스마가 곡을 만들었습니다. 그리고 1946년 프랑스 영화 '밤의 문'에서 이브 몽땅이 스크린속에서 처음으로 불렀습니다.
이 후 수많은 가수들에 의해 다시 불리여지면서 1950년에는 프랑스뿐만 아니라 전세계적인 인기를 얻게 됩니다. 미국에서 영어로 노래를 부르는 가수가 나타났으며 에디프 피아프 또한 영어와 불어로 노래를 불렀습니다.
1955년 피아니스트 로저 윌림엄스는 이 곡을 레코드에 담게 되고 밀리언 셀러를 기록하게 됩니다. 그리고 이듬해에는 냇팅콜의 목소리로 영화 Autumn Leaves의 OST 로 불려지게 됩니다.
작사 작곡가인 자크 프레베르와 조제프 코스마는 콤비를 이루어 약 80편의 곡을 쓰게 되는데요, 'Les Feuilles Mortes, 고엽'은 이 두 사람의 작품중 최고 걸작으로 손꼽입니다.
쉽고 친해지기 쉬운 멜로디와 심오한 시적 서정을 담아내며 변해가는 인생을 차분히 그려낸 '고엽'은 프랑스 샹송의 진가가 무엇인지를 보여준 세기의 기념비적인 곡입니다.
다양한 감정을 지닌 배우이자 가수 이브 몽땅, 본명이 이브 리비인 이탈리아 출생입니다. 파시스트 집안이라는 이유로 이탈리아에서 박해를 받은 후 프랑스로 귀화해 가수와 배우로서의 삶을 살게 됩니다.
가수로서의 레퍼토리가 다양해서 사실적이고 감상적이며 환상적인 것까지 노래와 춤을 통해 모두 훌륭하게 연출할 수 있는 다재 다능한 감성을 지녔었다고 합니다.
봄이긴 하지만 환절기여서 그런지 조금 늦가을의 느낌도 나는 요즘입니다. 이브 몽땅의 노래 들으면서 잠깐 가을 분위기 느껴보세요.
