My Steemit Newbie Resteem Post - Week 16
Here is the link to my first #newbieresteemday post. It contains the links to @mudcat36 and @davemccoy 's Newbie Resteem Initiative. This is my week 14 posting. First weekly post was made on Jan. 14, 2018. The reach that #newbieresteemday tag has had is phenomenal. and the community engagement from team members, is just astounding. A lot of our team members have joined Ashers Curation league1 to see how well we are doing and where we may be falling a tad short, as a group, I do not think we have fallen short at all.

My Help Info/Style
I'll support at least one commenter who meets this criteria:
• a steemit newbie, that has a rank of not more than 45 1.
• has a good and quality blog
• has less than 90 days on steemit 2
• I will only resteem One post, and that is not a guarantee
I may not be able to do much, however I will try to help at least one new user a week.
So I think I will be doing this on Sundays, the funday.
And as you can see I do not always stick to even my own rules, 40/30 stuff.

I look through and try to give a small vote to all the members and non members that leave post in our chatroom post promotion drop boxes. Please do not drop more than two of your post in during a 24 hour period. The maximum number of post from the same person I will vote on is 2, no matter how much I like your content, and well there are a few of you that really have some enjoyable and well written content, but I will still only vote for at most two. And I have no level or newness rules for my votes, I don't care if you are a REP level 25, or REP level 71. I will read, vote if it is quality or a real good try, and 90% of the time leave a comment.

I will add more information about other rooms and information about the Discord room in future post. Remember we are a growing group, and while our core objective will not change, the chat room may go through changes to keep it relevant to the times, and at the request of new users joining. Speaking of joining, there is no click and wait to be approved, you click and are taken to the room.
I have decided to continue to promote @apolymask Information Finding Contest. Round 30, and catch up round 31, have just been announced. Several new participants have found the game through this post and similar postings. There is still more than enough time if you are upto some fun and games and meeting new interesting creative people.

I feel this contest is a super great way for new users to get a leg up, while having fun and making some friends on steemit, and learning how things work, all of the participants are real people, they will help if you ask.
Round 30/31 both end on (or about) Saturday. (at post payout).
Okay, so why do I continue to support and advertise this contest, when it has been going on for so long? Well it is a long running contest, ends in mid-July. The structure of the contest is not fixed in stone, like real life chinks and cogs sometimes get thrown in the works, and sometime a light bulb goes off in someone's head. This is after all season One and the game play and formula for scoring are not carved in stone. So even if someone were to not enter until the final 16 play off then they still might have a chance.

Pay It Forward Curation Contest - Week 4 - Win SBI & Steem-Bounty created by @thedarkhorse (55) in payitforward • 5 days ago. This is an ongoing weekly contest issued generally on Wednesdays. This curation contest is open to everyone and runs for 1 week ending at post payout! The main focus is to help smaller members gain extra visibility and rewards for their efforts.
Basically you pick 3 individuals you follow with small under appreciated accounts of good quality, pick a nice post of theirs, make a post with a short statement profiling them and why you picked them. Other contestants then go and look at your selectees, and give them a vote, a comment or a resteem, if they were moved to do so.
You are doing good work @bashadow. Those early days when you started appearing on my posts' comments, I thought you were a community bot like minnowsupport sends after upvoting. It was later I realized that you are quite human.
I see that you have not stopped promoting communities and bloggers. Keep doing this good work. It is good that there's someone like you helping out the little guy find his way in the steemit waters. Stay safe bro
Yes I used a 90% formula post at the beginning of my newbiedays, but that did not leave room for when I really wanted to say more than two lines, so I pretty much drop the "advertising type" post and went pretty much strictly comment with a few links thrown in now. I think I will be promoting Newbiewresteemday for a long time to come, I think it is a good place, the people really do want to help people grow and be comfortable in steemit.
@IFC, well that is just a great group of people that like to have fun, can't live on work alone, man and woman were made to have fun also.
The Pay It Forward Contest from @thedarkhorse, well that fits so well with both of the above, Find some people promote some people, grow the community, show the whales and the new users, that yes there really are real people out here in steemit land.

To many people want to moe from first grade right to graduation, they need to remember what it is like to be new, if new users supported each others content, then they would grow in reputation, and SP power. To many though chase the dream of a whale seeing them. Visit low REP post 25-50 read, comment if you liked it, and vote for it, they just might visit your page.

Nice work bashadow! It's too bad you don't have more SP, I think you're one of the coolest and most consistent people on here.. Hopefully in time though! I think you're earning it by your actions and the way you selflessly help others so much. I don't necessarily believe in karma, but I tend to think that oftentimes when people act in certain ways it comes back to them in positive ways, even if they weren't looking for any kind of benefit in the first place. But anyways.. Keep up the awesome work! You're one of my favorite people on here and I can't wait to hear the song brought to life that you made!
One to two weeks he said, he thinks it will be too short to post on dsound, but he is going to still do it, and the Jingle, and email them to me, if I can figure out how to get my e-mail to him. He has 3 e-mail address on his internet home page, so It should not be to hard. He responded about two hours ago, so I may hear back before bed, but am sure I will hear back tomorrow.
SP takes awhile to build up, but with you alex, and everrit, it builds slowly but it builds. At least I am at the point that I have the easy slider to use and can give out those 2-4 cent votes on lots of new people, and still get a vote to the game/newbie crowd also. Most of monday will be running through a few more of the pay it forward entries and dropping votes and comments so should be a pretty busy day. I like the Pay It Forward, I get to see what other people like, and some of it is pretty good.
Too short for dsound? I would think you could always just repeat some of the words more or play more music in between before and after the words. Though, I really dunno what that means or that dsound even had a limit, I would think you could upload something any size?
And, yeah that's nice that you can help out so many peoples even if it's just a lil bit, I hope some day you get some good delegation because I think you deserve it.
