My Steemit Newbie Resteem Post - Week 3

in #justbecause6 years ago

Here is the link to my first #newbieresteemday post. It contains the links to @mudcat36 and @davemccoy 's Newbie Resteem Initiative. In the comments portion of the post you will see how I assisted @herbertholmes and @krishnendukj, on my week 2 post. Perhaps you will be next.

So, if you are new to steemit and meet the criteria below I will try to help at least one individual that responds. If you would like your blog be resteemed, read, commented on, and voted on, leave a link to one of your blog post in the comments below and I will try to help. If you have a question I will try to answer it, or direct you to someone or a post that may be of help. Steemit can be overwhelming at times, but there are people like @mudcat36, and @davemccoy that do take the time to help people. Good people to follow.
I'll support at least one commenter who meets this criteria:
• a steemit newbie, that has a rank of not more than 40.
• has a good and quality blog
• has less than 30 days on steemit
I may not be able to do much, however I will try to help at least one new user a week.
So I think I will be doing this on Sundays, the funday.
And as you can see I do not always stick to even my own rules, 40/30 stuff.

Is the link for the discord channel (xcekaZU) always the same?

Yes this one doesn't expire so feel free to share and invite everyone :)

Good, I was not sure if it was a time out one. Thank you will add it on to the post after I have a few brain cells recover overnight.

Thanks for joining this party. I wish to be a part of your initiative

Thanks!

Very very good post. And welcome to steemit, and to mudcat and dave's newbieresteemday initiative.

I wish to join this. Am a minnow trying to find my way around here. This is one of my post here on steemit. https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@sandravibes/7-things-that-makes-me-happy

The formatting of you post could use a little bit of work. You should only use the headings feature for "titles" So for the first paragraph I would suggest a header of <h2>Why</h2>. You also need to fix your image link. This post contains several links to very helpful markdown guide. It was done by @thecryptofiend. His was the link I used when first starting out and learning how to format post on steemit. As you spend more time on steemit, you will see post that have many different styles, some of them very eye catching and pleasing, and others that are just a lot of run on words. Editing your post and making them look as good as possible is very important, and not an easy thing to do.
This link here by @inquiringtimes, contains a lot of very useful links, and would be a good place to find links to other useful tools and ideas.

I had a hard time finding a simple link to some formatting help for you, so I just finished and made a post that breaks down some of the more basic HTML code and how to use it. I hope it helps some.

This is a very helpful post from you sir, you might not just understand how favorable and helpful you have been to me, you are truly not a doctor but have saved me a lot of when it comes to steemit, i value every single effort. i am going to find myself sometime to write just about you and your posts because it is worthwhile. i made a tour to those pages and i had to start a markdown tutorial class today. i also learnt about bandwidth limit and i had to read about that too. Thanks

I’m a Minnow too! I’m going to check out your post also

Hi @bashadow, I hope it's not yet too late for me. I am wondering if you can upvote and resteem this please if you find it quality works.

Any help would be much appreciated.

First link does not work, second done.

Very good way to do this @bashadow. I like it...

You have been resteemed as part of #newbieresteemday ... I made today my #newbieresteemday, and invite you and others to do the same. To learn more: Come Join Us!!! (Newbie Resteem Initiative)

G'day, I have been on steemit since 15/12/17, but only on internet every day since around the end of Nov. So new to all this language. I visited FAQ when I first got on site, and most of it went right over my head. Most help that I have understood has come from answers to my specific queries with some. Some queries I am still awaiting. I have asked questions which I am sure were answered, but unfortunately for me, from a user to a user, so the answers made no sense whatsoever. I do all my contact so far on an android phone, so even when face page icons are shown in posts, they do not show on my face page which is obviously restricted to mob friendly size. I haven't touched any of the 'money' because I can find no 'how to' posts written for idiots and therefore have no idea what most are saying. I am having a bit of difficulty with bandwidth at present even though I am doing less than I did two weeks ago, so, as far as I can work out, my blog is more popular and with more traffic, experiencing more bandwidth usage. But some good posts on 'how to' navigate and do stuff, would be real helpful, but then, there is problem of time, no INDEX, and navigation, so I've literally got so many replies that I find it difficult to check all comments every week, let alone if -bandwidth limit exceeded- 😆

Hello @simon62, there are a lot of Australians on steemit, and bandwidth issue is back, it will go away in a few days, most likely due to another influx of new users, but not sure. #teamaustralia if you click that link/tag it is used a lot by people in Aussie land. One way to view the comment from others is to use https://steemworld.org/@simon62 that link will take you to your information, it takes a little bit of time to load, not to long but a very useful tool to use along with steemit. @davemccoy has a very good tutorial on how to use steamworlds comment review section. @everittdmickey made a very easy to follow tutorial explaining how to use the internal market on steemit. I hope those help you out some.

Thank-you. I will try to get to these sites. As soon as. 😇

Hey Bash. I was away fro the weekend but back at the helm. I appreciate you and Docs support in this effort. Outside of the initiative and all the busy body stuff there in, I came across an author you might like over the weekend. Ever heard of Glen Duncan? If you have Kindle resources look up "I Lucifer". It's an awesome read, if you get time. I cleared it in short order and actually feel a little guilty as it must have taken the author ages to write it. But it's that damn good. Give it a look if you get time, you won't be dissapointed. On other notes, thanks again for being involved. I'm happy as a pig in...well.. you know. To have you and @doctorcrypto involved.

I will have to look Glen up on amazon, i do have a kindle. Hope you had some time for yourself this past weekend, Wife and I went out on a couple of photo journeys, had an awesomely long sunset of Friday, tons of pictures. Then Saturday for abandon homes places to photograph.

😬 there is technically 20mins left to Sunday so aim hoping I can still be in the running. A resteem would obviously be awesome as I assume that means you found value in my work, but I am also really interested in feedback. I’m a Small YouTuber transitioning to Steemit and I’m excited to dive in but there are some challenges with navigating how to effectively share my content on Steemit and make connections and friendships like I’ve been able to through YouTube. K enough blabbing. Here is my most recent post. And thanks for helping others.
