Poem no.74 : Adolescence/ Adolescenza
It's the most important period of your life
And very often, your future, it decides
Your father, on that period, met his wife
And you, are becoming a rebel which follows no guides.
You're trying to be cool
Smoking weed with your friends,
Very often, you skip school
Dreaming of getting yourself a mercedes benz.
You used to be a good kid
Which loved to study and to learn,
Now, of your addiction can't get rid
And you're stealing to get drugs in return.
And yet, you don't understand
That your future, you are burning,
Now, things are getting out of hand
And i trully hope you are learning.
È il periodo più importante
Che spesso decide il tuo futuro,
Quando ogni giorno scopri qualcosa di interessante
E molte volte ti senti insicuro.
Cerchi di essere il più figo
Fumando spinelli con gli amici,
La sera, per la fame chimica, svuoti il frigo
E non ti rendi conto di quel che dici.
Da scuola spesso ti assenti
E i tuoi genitori non lo sanno,
Ogni giorno, litighi con gli altri studenti
E probabilmente, verrai bocciato anche quest'anno.
Eppure tu non ti rendi conto
Ma l'adolescenza ti sta cambiando,
A tutto, dici di esser pronto
E il tuo futuro, stai bruciando.
Ti piaceva studiare
E imparare nuove cose,
Ora sei arrivato a rubbare
Per comprarti un altra dose.
