Poem no. 56: The Future/ Il Futuro
The future of human beings
Doesn't look so bright
And unfortunately, many are not seeing
That what we're doing is not right.
We are blinded by the money
And by the power that they bring,
Being stupid is now something funny
And for money would do everything.
But maybe one day we will understand
That the future depends on us,
Then we will stop fighting for a piece of land
And first, will think and discuss.
If we wanna save the next generation
We have to love each other, as brothers,
Stop killing in the name of our nation
Stop killing for the interest of others.
Il futuro della razza umana
Non è proprio splendente,
Inquiniamo anche l'acqua della nostra fontana
Eppure, ancora nessuno se ne pente.
Siamo accecati dal denaro
E dal potere che esso porta,
Usare il proprio cervello ormai è raro
Ma a pochi gliene importa.
Magari un giorno capiremo
Che il futuro dipende da noi,
Questo mondo allora cambieremo
Diventando degli eroi.
Se vogliamo salvare le prossime generazioni
Dobbiamo capire che siam tutti fratelli,
Smettendo di uccidere in nome delle nazioni
E di prendere ordini come fossimo degli asinelli.

Me too, actually the English version is the original one, the Italian one is like a translation of the same principles and was harder to find some good rhymes.

Bine zis , toata lumea stie asta si nimeni nu schimba nimic ,dar la cum decurg lucrurile acuma nu cred ca va mai veni ziua aceea din pacate :/
