On November/18/2017, I wanted to write a post, and I was wondering what should I write about, when all of a sudden an idea came to my mind, the idea was to try a different kind of post, a post that I've never tried before, but I wanted to do this experiment and see how it goes.
I'm part of the Italian Community on Steemit, at that time our Community was less popular than now and there was only a guy named @sciack that was writing poems, so after taking a look at his poems and getting some inspiration, I decided to throw myself into this new world, that was still unknown to me, and start writing a poem.
My first poem would have been dedicated to the Curators of SteemPostITalia, as thanks for all the good work that they were doing for our community by reading all the posts every day and promoting the best one.
I have to admit, that I loved writing poems since the beginning, the more I was writing the more the ideas were coming to my mind, in fact, my first poem should have been a short one, but I had to divide it into three posts because it became too big of a poem.
Sometimes I was passing the whole day thinking of some rhimes in my head, and then when I was in front of the computer and started to write the rhimes would come to my mind and those little poems were like writing by themselves.
So I've decided to keep going on this new adventure and try to write a poem every day when I had the opportunity and the time, trying my best to improve my writing skills and to express a message with those rhimes.

As it was the first time that I ever wrote a poem in my whole life, obviously I didn't expect to be a poet, but I liked to write and all I wanted was to become better at it.
As you may know, he only way to become better at something is to keep practicing and never give up.
Every poem that I wrote was looking like a good poem to me, not for the words that I use or for the metrics, but mostly for the message that I was trying to pass to the reader. Unfortunately, I was not receiving many comments on my posts and I was expecting that someone will tell me that I should stop trying to write poems because they were really really bad quality.
But as time passed I kept writing a poem every day and also started to receive some feedback from the community.
The feedback is really important because, when you start doubting about the quality of your work, those feedbacks gave you the strength to keep going.
Sometimes my poems were also voted between the best articles of the day in the Ita tag, a prize that I wasn't expecting to get, and I don't know if they gave me that prize because they taught that e really deserved it, or just to make me feel better.
Being one of the best posts of the day brings you some money, but is nothing compared to the feeling of being among the best articles, even when you started from zero.
This feeling is worth a lot more than money.

Steemit is a platform that allows everyone to be himself and to share his creations with the others and also get paid for those creations (In a cryptocurrency which value could get 3 times higher in 1 day.)
No one was born an artist, a poet, a writer, a photographer or etc.
Everybody has become, with time and by working on improving his skills daily.
When we do something for the first time, obviously we won't be the best at it, but if we like that thing, is very important to keep trying, watch and learn from the other, trying to learn new techniques, and always keep improving yourself by getting better and better at what you like to do.
The first paint that Picasso made, surely wasn't the best painting in the world, in fact, it was probably shit, and in order to become one of the best artists out here, he kept practicing and improving his skills.
The only difference between us and a Picasso is that he didn't share his first creations with the world, but we share our first creations and get criticized by the others.
If we truly want to become better at what we do, we have to use these critics to grow and don't let them change our dreams, or make us renounce at doing what we like, just because somebody doesn't like it.
You keep getting better at what you like to do and the people will also start liking your work.

Nessuno è nato artista, poeta, scrittore, scultore, fotografo o etc.
