Poem no. 58: We are the zombies/ Gli zombie siamo noi
The legend says that when we die
A zombie we could become,
Living our lives without knowing why
And with no personal income.
But when I look around
I see that we act just like them,
To raise money we are bound
And our own brothers we condemn.
Our leaders are programming us
And we can't even see it,
Wake up, work, do not discuss
Pay, consume and try to fit.
Doing the same things over and over
Becoming robots day by day,
Never take some time to think and recover
And instead of looking inside we look away.
Zombies kill for brain
We, do it for money,
For me, it's insane
But for some is funny.
La leggenda dice che quando moriremo
Uno zombie potremmo diventare,
Senza uno scopo, le nostre vite vivremmo
E senza aver nulla da incassare.
Ma se mi guardo attorno
Presto mi rendo conto,
Che già oggigiorno
Spesso gli zombie affronto.
I nostri leader ci stanno programmando
E senza che noi ce ne accorgiamo,
In zombie ci stanno trasformando
Mentre noi, davanti la tv, ridiamo.
Facciamo sempre le stesse azioni
Diventando robot, giorno dopo giorno,
Senza mai ascoltare le nostre emozioni
E senza mai comunicare con chi ci sta intorno.
Gli zombie uccidono per i cervelli
Noi, lo faccciamo per il potere,
Dimenticandoci che siamo tutti fratelli
Noi siamo gli zombie, ma non lo riusciamo a vedere.
Indeed, we become robots, we forget to enjoy the small and beautiful things in our lives. My favorite part:
