Hi, fellow Steemers, I'm Noynavs from the Philippines. Or you can call me by my username, darthnava. I'm a big Star Wars fan (until Disney raped George Lucas' vision and ignored the Expanded Universe) so the word "darth" is in there for kicks. I made this post late because it was stupid of me not to introduce myself to the Steem community.

I love to read, play video games, watch movies and documentaries and keep pets. Here are my past and present pets:

Whitey - He was old, fierce and dependable. Sadly his legendary libido among other neighborhood dogs got him.

Sa-va - skinny, noisy cat who collapsed after eating spoiled food outside and hearing of my financial situation.

Kika - No other dude could ask for a more affectionate cat. She got lost when my family moved to a new home.

Bambi - my current dog. She is old but very friendly. A great friend of children.

I work online as an SEO specialist. Sadly, the pay is not so great (you cannot even hope to touch a girl with my salary).

I would like to go into crypto-currency for added income but I do not have the capital. My PC is old and obsolete to be used for altcoin mining, bitcoin faucets are a chore that gives you more work and only bitcoin bread crumbs, and scams are everywhere!

But then I came upon Steem, heard of it and all the hype surrounding it. I only understood half the concept behind it and decided to try it. So here I am.

In order to raise my self es-Steem (pardon the pun), My fellow Steemer. I decided to :

Offer to upvote anyone's post who upvoted any of my post and puts a comment in them with a link to their post which needs my upvote.
Offer to give 5 social media shares of one type (Facebook likes/shares/Twitter followers/retweets/Google Circles/Pluses/shares/Pinterest followers/pins/repins/youtube subscribers/likes) to anyone who upvoted any of my post and puts a comment in them with a link to the web page which needs the shares. I work in SEO after all so I might as well use the skills here. Please wait 2-3 days for it as I still have my main job to attend to.

It may sound lame and pathetic to you guys and I am sorry for it. But I needed to save for a decent gaming PC and perhaps accumulate the funds to get to go out more often and socialize.

There I posted what I felt and thank you for taking the time to read this. And May the Horse...er, The Steem Force be with you always.

Glad to have you here on steemit! I'm sorry your life hasn't been so easy and that you aren't that well off, neither am I and I try to make the best of it (as you clearly do too!). I too, love star wars and the vision George Lucas gave it, although I do enjoy the new Disney stuff as well ;) so we differ a bit in that. To each their own though right?! You're entitled to how you feel as am I. :) Glad that steem appeals to you and it definitely sounds like a good place for you if you want to get involved in the crypto world. There is much potential here and it's already a major success! As far as verification goes, you don't NEED it, but you NEED it, if that makes sense! If you don't verify, you could be considered a potential scammer or fake profile, whereas if you verify, people will know who they are seeing posts from and talking to. Verification is as simple as you taking a picture of yourself with the date (and time if you'd like) and steemit along with the logo on a sheet of paper/other medium. I wish you a lot of success here and welcome!
