Dreams Journal - 1/17/18 - Locked in a Room before the Show

in #dreams6 years ago

Dreams are wonderful. Just the other day I was talking to my friends about an Entertainment business I started with an old friend of mine. We had signed a hip-hop artist to our label and we were starting to make some big moves. Even got mentioned in XXL Magazine. I think reminiscing on this endevour is why I had the dream that I had last night.

dreams

All I can remember is being locked in a room with a Hip-Hop artist I've done work with in the past.

The room resembled a scene from the movie Saw. There was a small box in the middle of the room with a key in it. This key was going to let us out

All sides of the box were solid except for the door. The door to the box was like a barred window. We couldn't reach the key to get it out. The box had some sort of wired mechanism in the back of it. He seemed to know what was going on and started to try to get whatever this machine was to work. We assumed it would help us get the key out.

I remember pacing back and forth and watching the door to this box.

"I got it!" he says. I looked at the door on the box and it started sliding back into the box like "walls closing in". He kept on having to manually turn a handle to keep the door moving. This was getting the barred door closer to the key, which would allow us to reach it with our fingers.

Out of nowhere, we had an audience. There were a few people cheering us on to get this door unlocked but clearly they were also locked in with us. When we finally got the key, we unlocked the door and went through.

At this point, I realized we've stepped into my old bedroom where I grew up in my parents' house. It's Full of people cheering at an empty stage. I couldn't help but wonder how all these people got in my room. The hip-hop artist (formerly known as Prince Jai) proceeds to get on stage. For some reason, I get on stage first, so I am looking down at him as he walks up the 3 or 4 steps it takes to get on stage.

I can hear a womans voice in the background talking into a microphone introducing him. As he takes his first few steps on stage, he spits on the floor. Instantly, I am a little thrown off, because he just spat in my childhood bedroom. At the same time, the girl on the microphone walks up and starts yelling at him.

"Why did you just spit on the floor? How Dare you?"

He says, "I was getting ready for my performance, I don't know"

He really shrugged it off. Like it was normal for an artist to spit on the floor before a performance. It was his ritual.

Instantly he gets in the mood as the beat drops and then everything gets weird.

He puckers his lips with the microphone to his mouth, smoothly slides as he starts to sing "Will u be my girlfriend" in a high pitch voice to some girl in the front row of the audience and she plays the part and basically pretends to melt because he's talking to her. Then proceeds with really bad out of tone singing. It was pretty embarrassing. I wanted to hide.

I am not sure how the dream ended, but all I remember was wanting it to end once he started singing. It was that bad. I can't say what this dream means. Maybe that getting out of the entertainment business was a smart idea. I found out a lot of things about the entertainment industry that made me get out. This includes what you have to do to make it, as well as how artists get paid for their work. We were trying to decentralize things a bit, but realized the best way was for an artist to stay independent, so we gave him back his independence and voided the contract.

Dreams but Not Forgotten[Part 1]
A Christmas Dream
My First Dream Ever or a possible memory from a past life
A Dreams Introduction [Hello Dreamers!][Steem Your Dreams]

How to Remember Your Dreams

It is good practice to have a dream journal next to your bed if you want to remember them. That's right. Good ol' fashion pen and paper. [Okay, a laptop or your favorite hand-held device can work too] This way, the second you get up, you take 5 minutes to write down as much as you can remember before you start to forget. Spend some time re-reading, even throughout the day, and you might even start to remember small bits and pieces for you to add. If you keep this practice consistent, you will soon begin to start remembering your dreams with more detail, effectively able to write down what you dreamed.

Just remember, all it takes is 10 minutes to forget your dream. You must perform this exercise during your first 10 minutes of waking up.

Wow, this is excellent. Nice details in the dream, it painted a nice picture when I read it. So that's funny I have been thinking about putting out a sort of "challenge" or a "practice community" . A place for people to learn from and teach each-other certain tips and trick for Lucid Dreaming.

Something like this: https://steemit.com/freedom/@senorcoconut/a-guide-to-making-dreams-come-true but exclusively for dreaming while you sleep!

I had started writing a whole workshop on the basics for remembering your dreams to eventually learn to Lucid Dream....and I will put it on Steemit.

You write a lot of your dreams here?

Glad I saw your post on SteemChat. Following

It is funny how we ended up at eachothers posts. I have been really interested in Lucid Dreaming for many years. Speaking of making my dreams come true, yes I write all my dreams on here!

While I just started the platform in November, I actually wrote about it my dreams intro listed above. I basically had a dream that I made a trending post. I interpreted the dream as a sign to post my dreams on steemit, so I have beeen doing so ever since. When I can't remember my dreams I try to recall past dreams and write about them.

I saw a few people already posting their dreams as I was making my intro post because I was searching for the right tag to use.

I wish I could remember more dreams...well at least I wish I could not be so lazy at night and actually write my dreams down! I have a few but I need to do it again.

I'll have to read your intro post! Did you find a good tag in the end for dream writing?

I see people mostly use the #dreams tag so I've been using that.

Ok yeah. I plan on writing mine down on steem eventually! Thanks
