A Favorite Freewrite

Every Tuesday, you have a chance to win a membership to Steem Basic Income, SBI, at the Freewrite House.

Try to win one, my friends. An everlasting vote on your posts is nothing to sneeze at.

We want to make it super easy for you. Your task is to tell us in the comment section about one - or more- freewrites of others you have read in the last couple of days you really liked. Yup, not your own!!

Remember the comment must be at least 50 words long - no upper limit 🤪

See the rules below for details.

In an ideal world, you also give that person a nice upvote - but we are not going to check on that.

So, to be entered into the drawing, tell us about a freewrite you really liked and why. Choose from the last couple of days so others can go, visit inspired by your description, and leave a vote.

Win, Win, Win!!!

This week I would like to nominate @freedomtowrite's story on the prompt: phone

https://steemit.com/freewrite/@freedomtowrite/to-cry-wolf-5-minute-freewrite-prompt-phone

When I read her story, I thought of the many times I jumped in my car, to go check on my mamma, when she didn't answer the phone. I don't think she ever played Cry Wolf, but I know she forgot to tell me about an Altar Society meeting, a couple of times. I was lucky to be at mamma's house the day she fell and broke her hip, and I still think about that day. She was in such pain and I just wanted to hold her till it went away. Good job @freedomtowrite

Thank you so much for always being here!!

My favorite place to be...among friends. 😍

Wow! Thanks @wonderwop! I'm so glad you liked my story! I'm also glad you were there when your mom broke her hip, that's so scary!

I was given the the post of an encourager for Thursday, so I had to look into all Wednesday post, that was how I met this awesome post that out of others I had to resteem it right away.
It's no other person but @iamjedeline with a magical post that leaves an incredible lesson.
https://steemit.com/freewrite/@iamjadeline/magical-little-a-dew-or-bedtime-story-i-created-for-my-children-5-minute-freewrite-prompt-dew
You can still check it out to Upvote, all her post also follow suit in an amazing way.

Then come @happycrazycon with an incredible story weaving Christianity and religion together with a good sense of humour in https://steemit.com/freewrite/@happycrazycon/5-minute-freewrite-prompt-skinny @happycrazycon did justice to the word skinny and also took time to rewrite the lesson in the story not just leaving the reader to laugh it off.
Her recent post https://steemit.com/freewrite/@happycrazycon/5-minute-freewrite-prompt-mold also borders on creation with an interesting read.
I really want to be as good as this people but I just have to be myself.

1 @botefarm

Thank you for your recommendations. Great choices!!

I would like to share a a freewrite story written by @honeydue using Lost & Found. It is a tale of deep loss and about finding that one person in your life who takes the time to listen to you and to hear your suffering and, rather than to turn away from you, brings you closer and lets you cry.

This story is about such a man. Cherry is that person who is not afraid of his demons, but feels his crushing sorrow, then comforts him in his supressed loss. The story is about a young boy who struggles to accept the very harsh past of his mother's death and though Cherry is very young woman, she alone has the perceptive ability to open his broken heart again and to love him.

I remembered the 7!!! :) This is such a moving story!!!

lol you did! I so agree with you.

That word count tool made my virus protection go crazy. Below is the one I used for anyone that may be having the same problem. https://www.countofwords.com/

I would like to bring your attention to @malloryblythe. I recently wrote my first free write, to introduce a SBI giveaway I am currently running, due to her encouragement in a conversation we had in one of the many free writes on her blog. That conversation took place in her Free Write called Downpour. She also mentioned @freewritehouse. For anyone who likes reading Free rights they should be following her.

Thank you for the tool tip!! And Mallory impresses us often with her writing.

Your Welcome .. thanks for accepting my entry !

First, I have to that I've been looking forward to sharing this freewrite since I read it on Friday! But @marcoriccardi blew me away this morning when he recommended mine from the weekend, so I wanted everyone to know I feel like he beat me to the punch!

So, I stumbled upon this poem he wrote during my prompt deliveries on Friday. It's about adventure and love and dreaming and grabbing life. It was so beautiful I had my hubs (@freedompoint) read it. And of course he loved it too! One day I will frame it and hang it up on our home...or at the very least our bus walls!

5 @freedomtowrite

We agree!! It was featured in the latest edition of the Poetry Digest.

I would like to tell you about this weekend freewrite by @freedomtowrite:

https://steemit.com/freewrite/@freedomtowrite/only-money-can-buy-weekend-freewrite-three-prompts-one-story

First of all, it's a weekend freewrite and it's very difficult to build a story with a good internal continuity if you have to follow three subsequent prompts; I tried this only a couple of times in about 75 freewrites I did so far. @freedomtowrite has been very good in doing it in this freewrite, her story flows smoothly and well written.
Second, the story is very thoughtful and shows how there's hope to be loved even if someone hasn't learned good habits or confidence in life...but I don't want to say too much. Please, read this freewrite and let an upvote and a comment.

2 @marcoriccardi

The weekend freewrites are a beast! :) But so much fun!!

When I read about this, I immediately love the freewrite as it has the recipe of food that I love too. It is called Bak Kut Teh (in my Hokkien dialect) means pork ribs cook in herbs. Eliza even wrote down the recipe. It makes me drooling with hunger just by reading her freewrite.

8 @iamjadeline

I don't eat pork but it still sounds delicious :)

This freewrite made me laugh as I do not have a green thumb myself and understand the struggle. Herbs are also very important to me and I know the desire to try to grow them on your own.

But I too, fail! The bugs, the overgrowth, the mildew, the stalks with no leaves! I have had it all, but still we keep trying. I also like the good use of the word "triggering." This happens to me with freewrite prompts too.

thanks for your feedback and sympathy 🙂

7 @fitinfun

So happy that you are participating. Did you see the punday contest? Lots of SBI to win!!

I would like to nominate @fadedhistory for the story, "The Call." Victor's anxiety coupled with the chill in the room and what was happening at that time, not only sent chills up Victor's spine, but mine as well. It ended with suspense and left me wanting more.

I would also like to nominate @mr-neil for his "The Superhero Exchange Company." The conversation with this company was imaginative and humorous, making it a fun read.

9 @whatisnew

Let's see if you still have the win the SBI magic 😂

Oh, I forgot to put the links. Sorry about that. : (

HaHa! I highly doubt if I still have the magic because 9 is a very unlucky number for me. : )

We shall see. You seem to have the magic LOL

This freewrite by @raj808 is freaking amazing! I don't want to spoil it and since it's such a short story, this is a challenge. I rarely read a super short story like this that makes me smile at the wonderfully rich characters, intrigues me as far as the storyline and then at the end brings things around to yet something MORE that I didn't expect. This freewrite NEEDS to be on everyone's "Must Read" list!

He is such an amazing writer!!!
