Do you want to see the power of STEEM Blockchain? Check out this school (@schoolforSDG4) for underprivileged children which is making education accessible to these beautiful souls on daily basis. And guess what, Steemians from all over the world are helping this school to run in full blown mode till date and counting. If not for these funds, this school wouldn't exist for more than a year. This post will act as a fundraising campaign for the school and for these 60 Children. 100% of the funds generated from this post will be donated to them after the payout is received. I will be doing this kind of post to support and generate funds for the school every week. Let's find out more about this initiative and how you can contribute in changing lives of these little kids.

Why "For SDG4"?

You must be thinking why "SDG4" or maybe some of you might have guessed it already. For those who couldn't figure out why this school was named like this, "SDG4" is full for "Sustainable Development Goal number 4" created by United Nations. You can read about the other goals on their website. Goal no. 4 is to ensure quality education for everyone in the world by 2030. Education is important for a child to grow further in their lives and enable themselves to become more successful. Educated individuals add on more value to the society as they are capable enough to perform various tasks. They are also open to constant learning and hence they can create an healthy and competitive environment. Hence, this school aims to bring basic education to these small Children so that they can progress in their lives and have a better future.

Who Is Behind This Great Initiative?

This school is managed by @azizbd who is a human rights, social, educational activist and gem of a person. He is currently living and running this school in Sylhet, Bangladesh which is a slum area that does not have a proper school or other facilities which can support the education or proper livelihood of its citizens. As an India, I understand how difficult it is to manage all this on your own. Only due to his constant efforts, this school is running with the help of many awesome Steemians out there who are funding it frequently. I asked @azizbd to send me his Introduction and look how decorated he is. What he could achieve till date without having proper help or facilities from his surroundings and how he putting his intentions to work.

Through my work, I am committed to the 17 Global Goals for sustainable development and hard at work with new and on-going development projects. I live in a city slum, in Sylhet, Bangladesh, which uniquely positions me to make immediate and important positive changes in an area that desperately needs change. In 2016, I established a school ( @SchoolForSDG4 on Steemit )for impoverished children in my own slum area to ensure that at least a fraction of the children had the opportunity to acquire education. To date, we have 60 children receiving education who would otherwise be child laborers. I strive to show these students that education is a way out of poverty. In addition to this, my social business project ( @WomenEmpowerment on steemit) for women provides training with textiles, opportunity to make money. My overall vision is to establish a leading global entity that ensures a quality of life, education. In 2016, I was titled the Associate Fellow of Royal Commonwealth Society.

This guy is literally changing lives of those children and women in his area, giving them lots of opportunities to grow as individuals. I am a fan of his work and you should be too. We need more humans like him. :)
