7 Things Changed After The Last UI Update Of Steemit - With Some Cool GIFs (Read GIFTs)
Last night when I was scrolling down my profile and side by side preparing the case study on @steepshot, I noticed a change in Steemit's UI and then one more, and more!
I am listing all of them down for you guys:
1. Now you will see this header wherever you go on Steemit! Click any of the tabs on the website and it will be right over the top. You have one click access to:
"Trending", "New", "Hot", "Promoted" which has shifted from the left side to the middle.
"Search", "Post", "Navigation to your profile options and settings", "Steemit help and related resources" are mostly as they were earlier. But a few icon changes I could see.
2. Third Party Exchanges' links are added in the Steemit Navigation Drawer
3. Search box has got a serious makeover and now it's animated. :-)
Very soomth, right?
4. "Post" is now a "Pencil":
Pencil is mightier than the Axe. Haha! 😁
5. Under the "Links" group on your Steemit feed, one more link has been added - "My Feed"
Earlier I used to access feed by clicking on the Steemit Logo on the top-left side of the website.
6. A logo that changes color:
Loved this. More animation is great and this is slick!
7. My Mood
Made me wonder at first but ultimately happy. Great job team @ned. Keep giving us more beneficial updates :-)

Still in beta phase, lots of cosmetic changes to go to compete with the biggest social media platforms out there, but I like the recent changes!
I too noticed the changes. But your post makes all the changes clearer. Yeah, the changes have made the interface more dynamic. I like it . Great going for steemit. And thank you for giving clarity on it, @hungryhustle :)

I did notice some few things but you have noticed all and have listed everything. I mainly make use of the application i downloaded from Google store, however the application remains the same for now.

I hadn't been on the @steemit platform for a while, and was really glad to see these changes and thanks for listing exactly what they are, @hungryhustle. Agree that we need some other functionalities, but it's amazing what one can do even now, if one wants to. I am still coming to terms with searching - it seems to take me to bing/google and I want to search only the Steemit platform. Perhaps I am missing something? I am not just a newbie, but also a bit of a technodunce....

You are welcome @fionasfavourites and you are absolutely correct. There are tons of things you can do with this amazing platform.
Regarding "search" I also use google because there you get references from all the websites out there and not just Steemit. :-) A lot of information is available outside as well. Cheers!
I use Google a lot! However, the Steemit search function does not allow us to search only Steemit, but the entire www.... ;)

It shows only the results from Steemit website with a few ads sometimes. Have a look yourself -

Very nice observation @hungryhustle a lot has really changed in the Steemit user interface but it's like you seem to omit something🤔. There is also a change in the transaction history, initially SBD transferred to your account used to appear as e.g“recieved 2SBD from @username”. But it's now showing as “transferred 2SBD from @username”.
Nice updates... You really gotta try Busy.
I can rant and rant and.. I will! (nooooooo!!!) You get notifications, the articles open in an overlay (not a new page load) - feed has larger images and support Dtube, sharing to other social networks is included... and you have a better markup editor for the comments - all to name a few. I made all my steemit links redirect the header domain to Busy... and no more Steemit for me! Feels more like a social platform instead of a blogging platform. Funtionality from Steem is the same, including the wallet.
