The Interview Showcase #39 - Exclusive Talk with User behind UPVU /@dev. supporters

It's The Interview Showcase!!!. with your host ubongudofot...This is the 39th Edition of “The interview Showcase...." and my 9th show for 2023!

A lifestyle program that comes with many educational values. A weekly interview of top users/users in the blog concerning some trending topics on the Steemit platform. And tips that can help other Steemians to progress positively and help boost the Steem’s growth.

It will help you to get to know more about Steemians around the globe and even Steemit itself.

I take time to look at some of the most important topics in the blockchain and have a chat/call with top Steemians who have a greater idea about those topics.

They also share some tips that are able to help other users to understand the blockchain and make use of it in the correct way. Sometimes they seek some valuable suggestions here which can help them solve some of their challenges.

This week, I had a talk with the one hard-working user behind the @upvu investment project, he is in the team that is managing @dev.supporters, the same team as @donekim. He is actually a private person and we agreed not to share the video call. Join me as I relate the discussion I had with this Korean user/investor.

: Hi @happyberrysboy, It's nice to have you in my show today.., How would you describe yourself to all the users in the blog?

🔶Happyberrysboy: Hi there. First of all, thank you so much for this interview opportunity. I'm a blockchain developer living in South Korea. I am a father of five, including a dog. It's a pleasure to meet you.

: How did you discover Steemit?

🔶Happyberrysboy: I first learned about Ethereum in 2017, and as I searched for information about it, I naturally read a lot of Steemit articles and fell in love with it.

:I like your Username, but why did you choose the name "happyberrysboy" ?

🔶Happyberrysboy: My wife uses the English name "happyberry", so I decided on "happyberrysboy" for her boy.

: When you joined the platform in April 2017, would you have predicted that you'd be such a big Steemian controlling such a big asset like UPVU nearly six years later?

🔶Happyberrysboy: Obviously, we didn't expect that. We just wanted to make it a little bit easier, and it turned out that a lot of people really liked it.

: Over the past few years, what has been your favorite moment and least favorite moment on Steemit?

🔶Happyberrysboy: My favorite moment was when UPVU went live and crossed the 1 million SteemPower milestone (we initially had a goal of 1 million SteemPower when we launched UPVU). My least favorite moment was when some of the users who moved over to HIVE did some dumb shit on Steemit.

: You are one of the driving forces behind the Project @upvu. Why did you think it was important to launch this project?

🔶Happyberrysboy:When we created UPVU, there were already a few voting services, but there were some inconveniences when people used them (missing voting or having to calculate the time to get a voting), so we started with the intention of making them better.

: On average, how many hours per week do you put into Steemit-related efforts?

🔶Happyberrysboy: Averaged over the last 6 years... I've probably spent about 2 hours a day (6-year average!!) posting, reading, and developing on Steem.

: What is your most preferred character trait in a person?

🔶Happyberrysboy: I'm a positive person, so I like people who are similarly positive. This is because positive people tend to overcome problems easily.

: What is the best part of your personality?

🔶Happyberrysboy: As I said above, I think my positive attitude is my biggest strength. I don't tend to get frustrated very often :)

: What are your greatest Inspirations?

🔶Happyberrysboy: I get a lot of inspiration from the news and Twitter, but technology is moving so fast these days that it's hard to keep up.

: What is your biggest pet peeve when it comes to Steemit

🔶Happyberrysboy: The biggest complaint is that there is no development for the Steem blockchain core.
If SMT and Smart Contract functions were added to Steem, I don't think the situation would be like this.

: I am aware, your team was selected, so far, what will you tell the entire community concerning the Steemit Development Incentive Program progress?

🔶Happyberrysboy: A few months ago SteemIt stopped working sometimes. At that time, people who did not know much about blockchain could have thought that there was a problem with Steem Blockchain. But the problem was just that there was a problem with the API server. However, I was worried that the whole system would appear to be frozen due to that problem. So, in order to improve this part, our team applied to add a function that allows Frontend to select various API servers, and was even selected. However, the foundation is still busy, so it is not progressing.
We're hoping to move forward soon and improve the Steemit Frontend.

: As someone who is always busy, do you have time for some bodily exercise?

🔶Happyberrysboy: There is a gym in the building where I work now, so I often work out. When my head hurts from development, giving my head rest with exercise seems to be quite helpful to me.

: How do you balance the time you spent on the blog with your family affairs?

🔶Happyberrysboy: Steemit-related work (posting, reading, development) is mainly carried out during work hours, and I try to spend time with my family as much as possible at home. In the past, I was scolded by my wife for watching steemit a lot at home. Since then, I've been refraining from home as much as possible.

: It seems impossible to find a photo of you anywhere on your blog. Would you consider yourself a private person?

🔶Happyberrysboy: It's just my opinion, but I think Koreans in general tend to be a bit like that. I'm not confident in my face either, so I don't want to make it public.

: Do you think it's possible to see more Koreans engage with other users in the blog in the future?

🔶Happyberrysboy: Our team is recommending that Koreans pay more attention to other communities. Most Koreans have a very busy day, so I can't say for sure, as most Koreans have a very busy day.

: Do you like music and what's your kind of music?

🔶Happyberrysboy: Of course I love music. I prefer calm and quiet songs rather than loud music. I also like to sing, so I often go to karaoke.

: I might visit Korea Soon, where will you like to show me in your country?

🔶Happyberrysboy: I don't know which city in Korea you will be going to.. If you want to see the most urban places, we recommend the capital, Seoul. If you want to see the most touristy part of Korea, I would recommend Jeju Island. I live in Busan, and it's a beautiful city that combines both the city and the ocean. If you come to Busan, you might be able to meet the UPVU team. :)

: Are we expecting any new project that will be of benefit to all steemians soon?

🔶Happyberrysboy: Recently, we launched a service called UPVU Earn. In order to attract steem investments in addition to existing steemians, we developed a structure that can be rewarded even if you don't write. We think it can help increase the value of Steem. : Any message or suggestions to the steemit team?

🔶Happyberrysboy: It seems that SMT development should be done even now to increase the value of steem. Even if you hire external developers, I sincerely hope that you will complete SMT for the development of steem..!!
