Part 49: Accelerating Time

My life suddenly sprawled out of control. I got into an intense whirl accompanied by a sweet flurry. Batu Gürpınar, our new software developer, accepted my partnership offer; he already knew Bonanza and trusted him. I didn't want to bring a proposal to Deniz at the beginning because we didn't get a financial benefit in the previous one.

One morning, when I got up from my bed at the hostel and looked at my messages, I found out that multiple investors had requested interviews with me to invest in the Bonanza. Hence Gülizar has not achieved any commercial success; my name was heard within the startup ecosystem. When my name was combined with Bonanza's superior qualities, investors have decided this could be an excellent opportunity. I also took Bonanza to the investment talks; our potential investors enthusiastically welcomed the culture and art proposals he made with the style of punk. This time, although we were in the choosing position, it took about a month or so to implement the standard procedures, complete the negotiations, and sign off. We didn't turn down any of three investors who wanted to give money to our company; they were decent people who understood business. I submitted a partnership offer to Deniz, this time accompanied by a salary appropriate to her qualifications. She started working at a big company, but she couldn't get used to it, so she accepted my partnership offer for the second time.

Batu Gürpınar has made changes to Bonanza, which will become a commercial product, that will allow him to say some of his profanities only in “adult mode.” He enabled the Bonanza system to run on a scalable server. He has made changes to the way that personalized features are kept on users' pocket computers. He was an exceptionally hard-working man, though he was not creative, and he admired Tuğ and wanted him to join us as soon as possible.

Bad things happen slowly and painfully in life, and beautiful things happen all of a sudden. On Neslihan, the matchmaking app that rivals Gülizar, I received a request for an interview for the profile I created to learn the features of the app. Neslihan, like Gulizar, used the love algorithm approach I developed, so I was excited to open the picture of the girl who sent the message. The girl who wanted to meet me had a dark, big-eyes, she was wide-faced like me, and her match score was 93 out of 100. As a result of our conversation I decided she was a smart and sensitive girl, although I didn't like her image at all, it would be appropriate for me to take half an hour to meet her. After all, my suitors weren't lined up at my door. We agreed to meet at the Pan Cafe the next day.

Since I didn't care much about my meeting with the girl, I put in meetings with potential business partners before and after. Although the session before the appointment with Masal was extended, due to my innate internal discipline, I have been there just in time. I looked at the tables one by one, but I couldn't see the girl I would meet among those sitting. By the way, it caught my attention that the dancing girl hologram had been reinstated.

Someone said my name while I was watching the dancing girl hologram in a hypnotized state. A blonde girl with straight hair was calling me to her desk with a smile on her face. Walking to her desk, I was trying to figure out if she was someone I knew before. The blonde girl held out her hand to shake hands, saying,” I'm Masal," and I replied,” I'm Samet," shook her hand and sat at the table.

“I know your name, you know, we had a date,” Masal said as if she were a caring mother who taught her child.

”I was expecting to meet a brunette and less attractive girl."

”Thank you if this is a compliment, as you can see I'm not a brunette, I saw you at an event where you were talking about Gulizar, I liked the excitement you felt about the work you were dealing with."

As soon as Masal said these words, I dropped the coin: the profile picture used by Masal in the Neslihan application was the photo I used at that event with changed gender created by ‘how would you be if you were of the opposite sex’ kind of an application. Beyond my dislike, that's why the image in the picture bothered me.

“Are you okay?" asked Masal.

”I think I understood why you're not a brunette, "

"I thought you'd understand right away; you're already late."

“That's how you put me in your net.”

“Let's not describe the situation that way,” she said, smiling.

My heart rate was up; she was lovely.

I would maybe like to start writing novels in parts on steem, got any advice? I worry that I wont write my best work or that the pressure of trying to deliver consistently uploaded parts is gonna fuck me, I guess im just pretty apprehensive to even attempt writing one of my stories because theyre so precious to me and I want to do them justice. sorry for unloading here but i respect anyone who writes and posts on here their stories. I think its awesome.

The Love Algorithm is a novel published in Turkey, so I translated it to English and published on Steemit part by part. But I also have other works that I wrote and published in Steemit simultaneously daily. Trying to deliver parts every day is really stressful though it provides writing discipline and motivation.
