Note re Distinguishing between Different Chapters:

In the “Vocab-ability”  series, there is some overlap of the various alphabetical groupings. (i.e., one "A" post in the “Stems” chapter, another "A" post in the “Prefixes” chapter, and a third "A" post in the “Suffixes” chapter.)

However, you can easily distinguish between the posts containing “Stems” and those containing “Prefixes,” “Suffixes,” or “Numbers.” As you may notice, the text boxes in the different chapters have different borders.

The “Stems” chapter has boxes with GRAY borders …

The “Prefixes” chapter has boxes with TAN borders …

The “Suffixes” chapter has boxes with LIGHT BLUE borders …

The “Numbers” chapter has boxes with GREEN borders …

(Hope this distinction helps. Of course, some of you may think that the silly colour-coding is pointless, and does not make any bloody difference whatsoever. But, at the very least ... you godda admit that it looks kinda nice.)

Note re Copying each Entry:

Each separate entry in the “Vocab-ability”  series consists of one text box (screenshot). To use any of these “Vocab-ability”  items for your personal study or in any classroom, you can download them by clicking and dragging the entries that you want to use, and then print them out.

Note re Free Use:

Please feel free to download the following material, copy it, print it out, and distribute it for any and all educational purposes. If it helps you or your students to increase your English vocabulary, it will have served its purpose. And I will know that my efforts have proven beneficial.
(I hold the copyright to the original “Vocab-ability” guide, which was published in 2002. I hereby grant free use of all the material contained in this post and in all other Vocab-ability posts on Steemit.)

Sort:

Well, I won't remember the colors of each topics, but I am doublechecking some of your older posts!

Hmmm, I might hold an exam at the end of the series, and I might include a question about the colours of the borders. ☺

Oh! Thanks for the magic tip.

This is amazing teaching/learning material, really well structured. I will read through the previous posts and save this for when I have the time to check it all out. Thank you!

Thanks for the praise! Yes, I spend quite a bit of time preparing it, so I'm thrilled when people like you realize the work that goes into it and appreciate my effort.

This post is intended as a REFERENCE post, so please don't spend the next few weeks trying to review / study this entire post!!

Next week, I'll start a daily "Vocab-ability 1x1" series, in which you will be able to learn one of the entries each day.

Hope you take active part in the 1x1 series!!

That sounds great, I look forward to read it then!

Great. Your excellent writing, and your singing voice, make it appear as if you are a native speaker of English, but I believe Spanish is your native tongue, right?

I originally made this Vocab-ability resource for my high-level students in Japan. And since you are very proficient in English, it should help you, too.

Cheers!

Thanks! I've worked really hard the past few years to make myself sound native haha. I think anyone can use this material and learn from it, even if it's a resource aimed at high level non-native english speakers.

Thanks @majes.tytyty for the series! I've following it since I joined Steemit. Hope to see more of your great posts, to improve my level of English :)

Next week, I'll start a daily "Vocab-ability 1x1" series, in which you will be able to learn one of the entries each day.

The progress of the posts will slow down a bit, so that you have time to read and review each post. Also, there will be a "Vocab Practice" section, in which you can make sample sentences with the target vocab, and earn UPVOTES for that!!

Hope you take active part.

Definitely looking fwd to be an active part of that dynamic! And I must say thank you @majes.tytyty, because of your advice of posting both in English and Spanish, I've made some incredible friends from around the globe here on Steemit. Cheers!

I think today we have to do a lot of class work. It seems a lot.

No, do not worry. This is simply an index for REFERENCE. You can glance thru it to familiarize yourself with it, but you definitely do NOT have to study it all!!!!

Cheers!

It's a wonderful writing post.
It's not easy at all to prepare such a wonderful blog. You really work hard buddy.
It's awesome work...

Yes, it's taken quite a bit of time already, and I spend a few hours each day on it (sometimes many hours!!). But it's a labor of love, and the rewards will make it all worthwhile. (Whether those rewards are Steem, or just lots of satisfaction, I'll be pleased with whatever comes.)

Thanks for this great post @majes.tytyty I appreciate you for this great effort so keep it up and stay blessed.
