The contest is changing so YOU win MORE! Pretty cool right?
Here's the deal- I LOVE YOU ALL and I am melting in my chair trying to choose the winners each week so after I passed on the task to my poppa bear last week, he and I put our heads together to try to figure out a way to keep things fair while rewarding you more for your incredible entries!
My poppa bear was cracking under pressure last week being the guest judge and said to me- "don't stress yourself out so much, it should be fun! Why don't you let them choose who wins so it's more fair?"
Great idea poppa!!!
So, after deliberating, here's what we're going to do from now on:
CHANGES TO WINNING STRUCTURE!
- EVERYTHING WILL REMAIN THE SAME EXCEPT HOW WINNERS ARE CHOSEN!
- TO WIN YOU MUST HAVE THE MOST UPVOTES!
I have seen a lot of contests judged this way and it only makes sense because who am I to judge what post is best? Jeepers, that's a lot of pressure and I really want to make sure everything is fair so, now I ask you to:
STEP 1:
- Comment on MY post YOUR ENTRY
STEP 2:
- Share MY POST with your friends and have them upvote YOUR COMMENT! (Resteem not necessary!)
BONUS:
- If they upvote the post, the payout increases, therefore the prize pool increases as well!
NO UPVOTING YOURSELF!
- Feel free to upvote your friends but please don't upvote your own comment!
WHY, CECE?
Well, partly because I cannot make this decision without giving myself a hernia and I kind of like living without said hernia... and also because last week, my announcement post pulled in $5.10 (not usual but it happened) so, if we share it around more, you will get more reward at the end and we all want that right? At one point our rewards here were REALLY HIGH and I want that to happen again. That way we have more to go around! So, let's get it happening!
In celebration of this, I have decided to throw in some extra SBD and to give all entries this week $1 SBD to support everyone who joined in the fun! 💖

Creating this contest for me, is a huge piece of my heart. I love food, healing and sharing inspiration and adapting my diet truly changed my life! My intent is to bring awareness, conversation and relationship over the concept of veganism/plant-based foods... whether or not you are vegan does not matter! You can enter anyway!

How Winning Works:
I improved my winning system by using @papa-pepper's method of 50% of post payout going to 1st place, and 12.5% to a second place and third place each!
Winners will be decided based on popular vote.

Rules of the game:
I am notchyourmotha! I'm not here to tell you what or what not to eat but my contest, my rules so your entry must be vegan/plant-based ie: nothing can come from an animal!
As my loving and open rules state- you, yourself do not need to be vegan to enter this contest but your post does have to be! That means if it's a recipe please be sure to remember that animal products are not vegan! If you need help, feel free to comment and ask me!
What day can I enter?
Originally I had meant for this to be a Wednesday only challenge however, I've extended it so that you can enter whatever day you want (much easier for you to enter that way!), but I will release the winners for the week on Wednesdays so the cutoff for the week will be Monday at 12UTC to give me time to go through them all. If you submit after that time, don't worry! I will consider your entry for the following week!
What's love got to do with it?
Please mention this contest in your post! I am trying to get a friendly community together here with similar interests so the more people who can find us, the more we can grow, the more we can learn, the more we can love! I like the new approach and I think it is a nice way to increase the payout. 💲 Though the main aspect of the contest should be fun 😹😹, coming together as a group of likeminded people 👩👦👦 👩👧 👩👧👦 👩👧👧 and promoting plant-based living 🍋 🍌 🍉 🍇, nobody will be angry about higher post payouts. 🤗 😜 haha
One thing that could turn out more difficult with the new system is self-upvotes. ☝️ So I think it is really a good idea that you included "NO UPVOTING YOURSELF", this should also refer to non transparent ways of self-upvotes (e.g. by using minnowbooster). Because it is very easy to manipulate upvotes (just look at the upvotes of this comment as an example 😬😬).

I completely agree with you- my main intent here was to foster a community of like minded people to come together and spread inspiration for a common cause however, people are motivated by reward and so, why not give them whatever we can to get them playing along and interacting together? I see no problem in using SBD to gather everyone together- that's how I met so many of my Steemit buddies and I doubt we would have come together otherwise so I hope this option brings that about! ;)
Hmmm... I'm not techie enough to understand bots so, it's over my head. I think that self upvoting will trigger those bots so by not upvoting their own post it will not be able to happen? :S

I also see no problem in using SBD to gather together. On the contrary, interaction on Steemit is beneficial for everyone, so why don't interact? 😀
Regarding the upvotes: yes, I am afraid that upvotes on comments can easily be manipulated. And it is all legal, no special technical knowledge required. There are vote-buying services where you can buy votes. One of these services is for example Minnowbooster, but there are also others, such as Smartsteem (with which I have no experience so far).
By using these services, you can buy upvotes from actual users. When buying votes this way, there are no votingbots invovled. From the outside, it is not transparent, so you cannot say if this is a "real" upvote from another user or if the user just bought upvotes from other users.
I just wanted to point this out, since it might be relevant.

Hahaha right? I just sit here reading for hours and hours and get my little sheet of paper, look at them like 8 times each and can't do it. I always end up sending them around to other people to help me and try my best not to do it when hungry though you guys always make me starving no matter how much I eat before with your delicious entries :)
