My entry to the "Pay It Forward Curation Contest - Week 21"

in pifc •  3 months ago

This is my entry for the Pay It Forward Curation Contest - Week 21, hosted by @pifc!

The rules of this challenge are very simple: Feature 2 High Quality Original Content Blog Posts from Steemians with a reputation score of 55 or under.

As it has become my habit, I'll be featuring 2 artists. Here's the preview of their artworks:

#1 - @kryptik.tigrrr3d (41)

Jose Antonio Taroy is a 3D animation artist from Manila, Philippines. He's a metalhead, just like me! 😄

@kryptik.tigrrr3d has joined SteemIt 4 month ago but, oddly enough, this is only his 4th post. Coincidentally or not, the post I'm selecting was created 4 hours ago. What's up with the number 4 today? 😂

Daryl: A Portrait in Graphite is a phenomenal and very realistic Portrait in Graphite of a friend of his:

@kryptik.tigrrr3d completes his post with a background story telling how this work has come into life. He also includes an extremely detailed step by step showing the progress of his work, as well as a list of the materials used.

What a great post. I'd never say this is only the 4th time he posts something. Wow!

#2 - @rebeca.just20 (50)

Rebeca Justo is a name you should memorise! She has been posting for 9 months (with an hiatus of 4 months) and lately, she has been quite active, posting great artworks almost everyday. She keeps improving with every work and her latest post - I am back with... Digital Portrait! - is an incredibly detailed and stunning artwork:

I specially love the lighting and the amazing level of detail!

@rebeca.just20's post is quite simple, she could do better if she posted a few images mid-development... but with this kind of quality, maybe Rebeca won't even need it. 😊

Edit: I guess Rebeca heard me, as her most recent post is a lot more complete:

The next part of the contest is purely optional:

"Bonus Blogger needs to be from one of the introduction tags. Looking for someone who has posted 3 or less posts, basically a brand new steemian."

#3 - @papersmell (33)

Hauke is an artist currently living in my own country, Portugal... and that contributed for my choice.

Hauke has joined SteemIt on September 12, 2017...

--- Wait!? Wasn't this supposed to be a brand new steemian? You're right... and he is. For some reason, Hauke only started posting 5 days ago and he made his introduction post today: Hauke in the studio in Lisbon

Please check his introduction post and welcome him to SteemIt!

·

Thank you!

thank you so much for featuring my presentation !!

cheers
hauke

·

You're welcome. I'm surprised you still had the Keys, after so much time!!! 😆

·
·

actually i did not- but my computer remembered... so i could make a new key. :P

I have visited and upvoted both you entries. They both were great choices to include in the PIFC.

·

Thank you very much... I'm waiting a bit now, to restore my VP, before I return to the thread and vote on a few more entries. 😉

Loved the entries...soft spot for artists here. One thing that you might want to look into as you curate artists so often is @eye4art. There are some contests and it might be a good place to point some newer artists towards.

·

To say the truth, I rarely go looking for artists to feature. Usually, they are already on my list and it's just a question of waiting for them to post something good! 😄

great choices ,upvoted both of them.. i love that you have posted artists for both entries..
Much love and power

·

I usually do. I've been picking two different artists, ever since Week 5 of the contest.
Thanks for stopping by! 😃

You're really fond of drawings and paintings, ain't you? Don't worry, it is not that obvious. 😂

I have visited, upvoted and commented on all of your featured articles. You really have an eye on those types of art!

·

Yes, that... and music, too.

However, I think the music I listen to the most... would scare most of you away.

·
·

Hahaha! That's a cute... what is it? Lizard or baby dragon?

Why, what music genre do you listen to?

·
·
·

Eh, it's a lizard. I usually listen to stuff like this:

(Don't miss her smile at 1:07)

And this...
(Don't miss the moment at 2:47)

And this...

·
·
·
·

Whoah! Hahaha! I was shocked when the singer started singing on the first video. I wasn't expecting the voice to be like that.

I can take the second one. It is somehow to my acceptable level of metal rock. But the third one? Now, that's scary! I am also scared of how she portrays her face when it is on close-up.

How could these beautiful ladies sound so hoarse?

·
·
·
·
·

Eeheheh! It's a style. For decades, only men were Metal Vocalists. We're in a Brave New World now! Women are taking over! :-D

·
·
·
·
·
·

Yes, we rock! We rule! 😂

But kidding aside, I do not really like the scary ones... 😊

·
·
·
·
·
·
·

Oh, c'mon. Angela Gossow is not that scary! And without her, women would still be in the background nowadays. They would be roadies of Metal bands, not vocalists! ;-)

She paved the way for all other women vocalists in Metal!

·
·

Thanks for the music break. Perfect timing as I am letting SP recover at the moment. Guess i will cruise through some tunes on the way to the features.

·
·
·

The more Steem drops, the more difficult it is to keep the SP high... Hopefully, this is just temporary.

·
·
·
·

Well I made it to the first two. On my way to the third. Honestly I think it will never matter how much SP I gain I will always find too many places to use it up :D

You are just fantastic steemian @trincowski. it seems you have been on the contest for long time. wish you all the best bro

These are such great choices; I'm familiar with two out of three this week :)

And I know this was from 3 days ago, but tell me you bought a lottery ticket with at least one 4 in it haha

My metal brother, my job takes too much of my time, which is why I am not yet so active here.

As for the strange occurence of the number 4 in this, here in South East Asia, esp. with the Chinese, Koreans, and Japanese, the number 4 is bad luck because their words for it sound like their words for "death".

Now, since you and I are both metalheads, and I listened to a lot of brutal death, particulary, Nile, Suffocation, Devourment, and many others (including pop and jazz - Spyro Gyra) while I was working on that blog entry that you featured here, consider it as good luck. LOL!

I love your entry this week! I have visited/upvoted/commented on each of them.

These are beautiful @trincowski. Truly great entries!
