Congratulations to all the winners! Are you ready for the second part of this contest where the winner will take a Steem Fest ticket and accommodation in Krakow?
In the first part, one of the things we asked you was to tell us why do you want to go to Steem Fest and what can you bring to the table. The second part has a lot to do with it.
Second Part of the Contest: COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT.
- GO IN DEPTH > into that subject. Why do you think you can´t miss Steem Fest. Why should you, above the other contestants, be the one who gets to go to Krakow? Why do you want to go to Steem Fest, what do you add to the community... what will you be adding to the event if you attend?
- MAKE A VIDEO> Speaking about those subjects. You can either do it on Dtube, Dlive or Youtube.
- USE THE TAGS > #SteemFestOpenMic and #blocktradescontest.
- GET THE COMMUNITY TO ENGAGE> In the first part, it was about your opinion of yourself. This time we want the community to speak in your behalf. We want the different communites you are engaged with, to tell us about you and, in their own words, tell us why you should go to Steem Fest.
- ASK THEM TO COMMENT HERE > We are going to check out all the entries and the comments the videos get but, we´ll be paying a lot of attention to the comment section of this post to see how much community support every entry gets. Votes on your videos won´t matter, we want to see actual engagement and comments.
Once you make your video, post the embeded version here in the comment section - so people can watch it without leaving this webpage - and then ask your followers and the communities you are part of, to support you in that comment you post here.
Deadline: September 19 at 23:59 EST. This is when we´ll check out all the videos embeded here in the comment section and when we´ll check the engagement on each of those videos.

If I'm being honest, I'm looking forward to meeting @waybeyondpadthai in real life as much as I'm looking forward to SF3 itself, and here's why;
The fist time I discovered her account, I watched 10 videos back to back! I've always referred to her as the Queen of Steem, for much of the same reasons other commenters have mentioned. I think her content stands out in the crowd, which is testament to her incredible hard work. As a fellow content creator, I know how hard it is to maintain such high quality, being totally unwavered by the low Steem price.
Mo is aslo prolific across the board, usually showcasing her content using most of the available dapps here on the blockchain, be it in video, photo or text format.

In case anyone missed what she was saying in the video, she is building a real life (brick and mortar) café in Bangkok where Steem will be accepted as currency!
I think she may not have made the above clear enough. Mo believes in Steem 100% and we have had numerous conversations in discord about how we dream of the day Steem becomes mainstream currency, easily used in day-to-day transactions.
While most of us continue to dream about this, however, @waybeyondpadthai is taking action to make this a reality!
I'm in total awe of her and even though I know she wont agree with me (she's way too humble), but I don't only think she deserves to win this ticket, I think she should be a speaker at the event!

Mo is the type of content creator & person that should be represented at Steem Fest. I feel so many HUGE Steemians are "scammy" at the heart of their content, Mo isn't the case and should be a example of the Steemit platform. The project to turn Steem into a shop reminds me of my drive to turn steem into a record label, these types of projects will show the true power of Steem, unlike these self voting and greedy content creators that tend to get all the glory and speak at these events. Yes, Mo for president.

Wow. What Could one add to such a well summarized comment. I totally agree on everything @adetorrent has put out. I love how free spirited Mo is and how she always just seems to be happy all the time. I must admit, she was among the first dtuber I discovered when I started creating video content and up to date, I still look forward to her vlogs. She's a benchmark of what quality content should be and above all, I love her consistency as well.
You are very creative @waybeyondpadthai and you would stand out in any crowd.
I want to see her make it to SF3 because I know with her, those of us not going to make it will get all the footage and proceedings and that's good enough for me for now.

it is a perfect example of what a full-time steemian would look like. Smiling, shining and enthusiastic in all of her posts, and even during the VM's (Virtual Meetups) of the communities she would be sleeping with airpods, listening and occasionally laughing! Active - Everywhere!
Glad to know her a bit during these last several months and would be a big disappointment not to meet her in person! Even when I want her to win, and struggling with my own SF3 ticket, she encourages me to participate in the contest too!!!

I first had the pleasure of meeting her at the @dlive Meetup in New York City. @waybeyondpadthai has been incredible in promoting Steemit around the world. She is super active and produce basically one video a day so I believe she will produce about 2-3 videos a day while she'll be at SteemFest. Also she is one of Fundition Angel and she's been amazing with producing content about Fundition. She is from a Sunny country (Thailand) so she will definitely bring the sun, the smile and the joy to Steemfest.

Dear organizers of giveaway, I get to know @waybeyondpadthai since I start to vlog on @dtube and was working on our project of @fundition - She was the one giving me an helping hand on how to make better vlogs, and was the dtuber that I was getting inspired off. Later on I learnt that she is full time steemian. And by time I get to know what it takes to be full time steemian. And guess what, Mo became the Angel of Fundition helping the community with content creating teaching about Fundition. We have a policy of working with brave-heart people, because we work without profit. She is brave-heart because loves to help other steemians. Rather than giving the helping hand, she works passionately and her passion is inspiration to some. Spreading this passion to the world by content creating is what she does. This is how many new comers started to vlog and make videos for @dlive and @dtube , I do Remember her Speech in Steemit Vietnam Meeting how the audience was listening carefully what she was talking about. Moreover being an inspiration for many, she works with @esteem helping steemians that spend time on their content to be visible, so its hard to choose great posts among thousands.
So why she has to be in the SteemFest?
She is always smiling spreading the happiness all around, but when it comes to advice she is serious and a great mentor. Many of the participants would like to get her advice and tips when talking in public, or doing videos. Rather than that she is eager to be there, to meet the rest of the participants and wants to come from Thailand, to far so many hours of flight! This is how much she Loves Steem, her work, her career and goes further.
But hey, one day I will visit her Steem Cafe in Thailand. And Wishing to see her on SteemFest!

In the past 9 months I've consumed a lot of video content and @waybeyondthai is at the top of my list for favorite creators. She takes pride in her videos and does a great job producing them. She is super outgoing in person and preaches Steemit more than anyone I've ever met. If anyone should be going to SF3 it's her.

I think all the entries this week deserve to win the contest, but my ultimate vote is for @waybeyondpadthai. Not only does she make kick-ass travel content but her whole life is dedicated to Steem and helping it grow. @waybeyondpadthai is so beautiful, has that sense of humour, smart and confident. The first time I really get to know her is when I joined curating for esteem together with her and other curators. For whatever reason, you just love her, I think it is because she is true and real and pure. Just a look at her photo will make you want to know her more, therefore she must be there at Steemfest3 because I guarantee it will add to the event, not minus. She is a gift for Steemit. Of all the Steemians I've met on Steemit, @waybeyondpadthai is one of the ones that you 'MUST HAVE' in Steemfest. Steemfest would be a lot lonelier and quieter without her bubbly personality that she brings to the table. I have met Mo back in Thailand and I can say that she's one of the most authentic, kind and energetic people I have ever met. The way she is in her videos, that is how she is in real life. She genuinely wants to connect with people because that's who she is. If you ever feel like down then just hang out with her and you will feel better...it's a gift.
Concerning Steem...omg..don't get me started. She has poured sweat and tears into this. She is just involved in so many communities because she wants to contribute as much as she can and I'm like O_o god daaaaaaaamn! How do you do that..to which she responded "I believe in steem". TangMo (Watermelon) or commonly known to us as Mo or @waybeyondpadthai is Little Miss Steemit. She lives, breathes and eats (if she could) Steem. Ever since she joined in January (same time as us), she propelled herself to be one of the top Steemians in terms of content creating. She uses and looks out for new Dapps daily. We all know her for her vlogs and videos on DTube or DLive, but she's a great blogger too and has a keen eye for photography using Steepshot. She is motivated to not only build herself into a brand, but to get involved in the hundreds of communities here on Steemit and Discord. A Steemfest without Mo won't be as good as it could be. We had the pleasure of meeting Mo in person three times and her ray of light and energy comes through on camera and off it too! She doesn't do it for the video, it's what she is actually like! We know one way or another she will be at Steemfest, but we hope she could get there with the support of the lovely community here on Steemit. 😊
And for her Steem Cafe idea in Bangkok, trust us as we also live there, Thais are always up for trying new things and it will be a success... Just hope the momentum builds. A reward back system (in Steem) to the customers could prove a way to get and keep loyal customers. Wishing her all the best with this project and we will have a drink or bite to eat once her cafe is up and running!
Hahhaah when you mentioned wayyyyyy back then, I feel like we came such a long way. You're my first Steem friend (right?) and the first I met in person. Been through stuffs together quite a bit and that's somehow fun LOL I'm sad you won't be here in Thailand for so long no more. I need more Steem friends around T^T

We're glad things have worked well for you as one can easily give up on Steemit with the wrong mindset. We went in with the approach that we're getting out of it - the "from time to time posting" and therefore we get the "from time to time rewards". You get what you put in. If you go full on out and create great content daily like you are then you will get the results.
It is a shame we won't be around for much longer, but where ever we go we'll be in touch through Steemit and see how this platform surges in the years to come! There will be Steemians based in Thailand that you will get to know and we're sure you'll help them out! 😊
I can't think of a person better than @waybeyondpadthai who deserves this. She's 100% committed to steem, and wow what a creator! She should not only attend, but be involved in presenting.

Not only she is gorgeous, funny, interesting, full of positivity, a great photographer and videographer, awesome video editor but also she is clever and an Amazing and important member in our community. She is an artist that really care about what we are doing here and she believes in what we have going on.
Having creators like her on my circle of People just make me feel so humble and happy. We need more People like her to represent out community and that the Steem name out there.

I will be honest here i never knew about @waybeyondpadthai till just recently when she commented on one of my blogs about a amazing 1,000 finger banana tree i had come across in Bangkok and funny thing was not only her been a Thai nationality living in Thailand she said to me she had never seen one , well neither had i in this moment she seemed very interested in setting her eyes on this amazing unusual banana tree so i never hesitated , we arranged to meet so she could be introduced to this 1,000 finger banana tree and do a video on this banana tree i am not into video's or editing video's so it was my pleasure to let her do it seeing her other video's on her blog i thought this banana tree needed some credibility to become famous on Steemit and with her bubbly expertise it certainly did.
I was shocked and amazed when i saw Mo at work creating this video she was so dedicated in making this more then perfect in a real funny bubbly way that i was enjoying looking at her preform i have been living in Thailand for awhile now and i have never met just a Thai girl who didn't care what people around her thought when she was talking into this camera and mic without a worry in the world just thinking this is my job and i am doing it right...she definitely impressed me and it would be in my humble opinion without a doubt at a blink of the eye i would have her on my team she would be just a great asset without any doubt she has great dedication to Steemit and her fans on Steemit.
I am looking forward to Mo opening up this Steem Cafer be nice to have a place in Bangkok where we can all meet and have a friendly chat weather having a cappuccino or a ice coffee.

I have been her friend almost 15years. I know she will do the best for everything what she want. Actually I shy abit to say, I proud on her. She is so amazing pesrson like the positive powerful girl. And now, she has been being on the Steemit as a steemain over 6 months. I saw her always have fun with her full time job, traveling everywhere, meeting new people, meeting with others steemain, make friend with them, create the quality content in her style and and useful steem knowledge for the new streemain. She paid a lot of time, a lot of money, a lot of power and a lot of idea on Steem. You guys would see how much her value and quality works (videos and contents) on her profile. One of the most thoughtful, down to earth, friendly steemian ive known! Ive gotten to know Eve way back in the early days of the promo-mentors discord channel and i gotta say she has really helped in growing that community. She's also active in other channels as well and has gotten to know a lot of people so i believe she deserves to be at steemfest because not only will she now be able to meet a lot of her steemit friends in person but she's also a good ambassador of steemit as well. @evecab was one of the first people I met when I joined Steem. She is a great Steem ambassador, making everyone feel welcome. She mentors those who need help, does video interviews with some of the movers and shakers in the Steem universe, and meets and greets the often confused newcomers. But like the perfect mom, she is there to lend a hand, give and give direction but will not do it for you. She'll point you in the right direction, but the rest is up to you.
Her warm personality and energy comes through in every conversation but really shines on her videos, especially her interviews. Her "hi hi" with that engaging grin never fails to bring a smile to my face. @evecab is one of those people who brighten my day, just seeing her avatar on Discord. She is a tireless worker, knowledgable about many things both on and off Steem, yet never comes across as overbearing or anything but friendly and down to earth.
She makes Steem a better place every day just by sharing her natural warmth, and her willingness to pitch in and help whoever she can, wherever she can. She is well traveled, and I've seen her handle every type of person who comes into her mentoring channel with deftness and respect. It doesn't matter if they are long time professional writers in the "other" world, clueless newbies trying to make their way around Steem, or anything in between. @evecab treats them all with respect, honesty, and warmth. Other names may be more prominent and easily recognized, but for me, and countless others, Eve is the face of the Steem community.

This is awesome! @evecab is more than deserving of this chance to connect with the community the she has contributed so much to. I remember last year when Eve started to put the bug in my ear about joining Steemit. I had never heard of the platform and was pretty burned out from other social media networks. She assured me that Steemit was unlike anything out there and it was enabling her to really connect with like-minded spirits in a positive and constructive way that made her feel like she was a part of something awesome. Oh, and she did not leave out that you got paid in crypto to post (who doesn’t love to write content they care about and get paid for it). It took me months to join the platform and though I have very little content, Eve never ceases to assure me that what I have to say and contribute is of value and I should share my voice with the world!
I have known Eve since before she began her quest to empower herself and others via embracing veganism and more conscious ways of being. We started the our journeys with plant-based eating near the same time and I am so inspired by how much she has been able to effect change from her own backyard (literally...she has the greatest little home garden) and stoke dialogue in a way that has been accessible and respectful in a world that could use a lot more of both. Her vegansofsteemit group is literally ‘group chat for grown ups who like plant foods with a purpose’ and is so necessary for those of us who want to chat, swap content and share laughs together.
Her eternally positive attitude, willingness to share relatable, interesting content and expansive vision for being part of the crypto space as truly a major player (she’s got the ideas...all the ideas) is why I know she deserves to win the @blocktrades + @openmic: SteemFest Giveaway. Please give this woman a chance to tell you her story and participate in an event that celebrates the innovation that Steemians like Eve bring to table every day!

I think @evecab should go, never saw in steemit people as passionate for generating changes and improving life for others as she and her husband, they are quite activist altruistic people and I think the steemfest would help them get some attention to the very important problems and causes they fight. Plus, they are cool people to hang out with you know? bring her along!! no regrets on that guaranteed!!

She founded the only steem based vegan community that I know, and she is always sharing interesting content about her life, like her jiu-jitsu practices, and by the way, I think she is probably the only steemian practicing jiu-jitsu :P which makes it very cool.

Hola @anomadsoul - even though it may seem like cheating if I comment here as her husband, it also puts me in the best position to give you some details about the work she puts into @vegansofsteemit behind the curtains.
She is constantly trying to increase engagement there, and to motivate people. She chats more with people in the vegan group than with me sometimes (I'm a little jealous). On Sundays (her only day off) I want to got to the beach and I hear "no, I have to write the Newsletter, I can never miss one edition" and she spends hours reading posts to select them for it. She doesn't earn a thing for doing that, that's just the kind of person she is. I hope she gets that ticket, it would be the right choice for the Steemit platform! There are quite a few people on Steemit that I wonder how they have the time to do all that they do on a given day and @evecab is one of them! Any time I pop into the vegan Discord group--she's there to greet, chat or answer questions. Want to collaborate on a video? Yep, she's killer at putting together really interesting and informative videos that bring different people together. If I need some support, I know she's got my back. All while trying to save injured birds on the beaches of Panama or rescuing stray kittens.
I love how @fruitdaddy called her the matriarch of the @vegansofsteemit group because she really is the "cool mom" that everyone wants to hang out with but you know you can always count on her to help you when you need it. I would be so excited to see the impact she would have by being able to get out to SteemFest. Not only would she represent her groups well and bust her butt to get the most out of the experience, but from a selfish perspective I know she would share all of her experiences as she so eloquently does for all of us who can't make it. ;) Good luck my friend!

Being a Vegan food blogger in steemit community is not easy. The whale visits are so limited in this category.
Very often you will see food bloggers being demotivated after posting a brilliant blog.
Thats were Evecab came into the picture, She has made sincere efforts to change this by making a small community named vegans of Steemiton discord, so that vegan bloggers can get to know each other. With help of delegation from few kind souls , she also curates the best vegan blogs!
This to me is a game changer in vegan blogging.
If you ask me who i want to send on that plane to steem fest , i would pick Evecab because shes such a noble soul and the steem community needs people like her.

@evecab is a the Steemian you will get as she shows herself, honest, fun and genuine. These qualities are very important and rare for a Steemian and even more so for a community creator. Eve has helped me since the beginning of @promo-mentors and even in bad times (including the bear market), her activity has stayed the same. She is a person who is very fun to talk to and you'll see that she affects groups very positively with her genuine interest in getting to know people.
I wish you guys a lot of luck in choosing between the contestants, there are many great ones. I think evecab is definitely someone who deserves to go to steemfest. From what I know of her she is an ethical and honorable person who genuinely cares about others, which I personally think is both uncommon and admirable and she has a strong presence in the steemit community as well.
I think if she had the opportunity to go and meet those at steemfest and talk about her ideas that it would be helpful for both steemit and the world in general. :)

@evecab is one of thoses superstar steemians, plain and simple. I see her as a current and future leader of the blockchain but there is the issue - SteemFest 3 is literally a half a world away from her house! She should be there in person, because not enough steemians are currently aware of this force of nature, and I am positive that there will be resounding outcomes from the networking that occurs should she get to this event.

If @coruscate doesnt win, I will go John McAfee and eat my.... Goldmoney hat! On a serious note, there is almost no one that adds more value to the Steem Blockchain than @coruscate. She is the essence of this community and as someone once said she is Steemits Sweetheart. Coruscate adds value every day to the blockchain with her variety of robust content . More importantly, she cares about other Steemians deeply. She has literally opened the doors of her home to any Steemians visiting her area and is always willing to makes collaborative efforts with ANYONE. Lea also has incredible live presentations where she openly shares all her tips that has made her succeed on Steemit in order to give everyone the same opportunity that she has had. I don’t know a better person to represent Steemit and she has my full endorsement. I would trust her with my private keys.
This is really well said by @goldmatters. @coruscate is an amazing Steemian but more importantly an all around awesome person. I have never seen a single post or gesture from her that was below the best of the best. She is what every Steemian strives to be, helping others and teaching us new things every day. As a very new Steemian, Coruscate gave me a big boost when I won one of her contests, and the prize was like $ˢᵇᵈ5.00, at a time when I hadn't even made it to $ˢᵇᵈ1.00 in my wallet from creation and curation rewards! Coruscate was one of my earliest influences on the platform. I remember she was asking about songwriting and here I was, maybe a couple weeks on the platform and she totally engaged with me. We replied back and forth on that post for sometime, but that interaction styed with me and us my model for how I interact with others on the block chain. I've been witness to her kindness and reaching out to newbies countless times. She is an awesome example of a good Steemian role model!!

@coruscate absolutely should be getting this ticket. She was one of the sponsors of the ticket that I won to the Steem Creators Conference in Toronto. I had heard of her before then but hadn't engaged with her much. When I did, I knew I had been the loser on that. She is a kind and genuine person whether she's meeting you one or one or speaking to a crowd. And yes, she should definitely be speaking to the crowd. I 100% Support @coruscate, she is such an amazing person who has been very helpful with information and guidance not only to me, but to very many other newbies. She is one of those people I used to look up to and still do. I enjoy watching her vlogs, they are always well thought out, informative and it's her giving spirit that leaves most of us speechless. I mean, who gives away steem to multiple users at their vlogs each and every time? It just goes to show she's not only here to make money, but genuinely cares for her followers and appreciates that time. That is such a noble thing to do if you ask me.

I have great respect for people who spend the time to create amazing comments and engage with their readership. Steemit is such an amazing place to just have a conversion in the comment section. That was one of the many lures I found myself having as well. I was never into Facebook or Twitter or any of that. As you said they just seemed to be hiding behind a mask. It is great to see when someone becomes as busy as you are here that you still make the time for engagement.
With Steemfest being such a social opportunity to not only network but meet amazing people out there in the community as well. It only makes sense the person going should feel comfortable, know many of the people already at least from an online standpoint, and just want to engage with those around them.
Steemit should always be about community and it is great to see someone who has a passion for Openmic and elsewhere spread it around to those who are still trying to find their voice. I wish you the best of luck in this endeavor and may community get you there.

I met @coruscate through the @steemmonsters community and have enjoyed following her on the fanfiction show where she engages with the community and sends our prizes to the fans. I've known Justine from almost since I started blogging here and I can tell you she is one of the best and more passionate curators around this place , she is also a very sweet person and human being and is always there to lend a hand to anyone around. Not only for the work she does for @curie and @c-squared. Also, one of the reasons the @helpie project was able to lift off the ground was in great part because of her , she was ( and still is ) from day 1 one of the core members of the team, we are so happy to have her around as her opinion is always taken very seriously. This gal — this gorgeous powerhouse of a woman — is such an obvious force for good on this platform. Not only does she work tirelessly behind-the-scenes to ensure others are recognized and celebrated, but she does so with such humility and grace, never seeking praise or acknowledgement for her efforts.
Though my engagement leans further into content creation than curation, I’ve often felt that Justine and I are kindred spirits — that we share something of a similar appreciation for our fellow humans.
While a part of me regrets not participating in this contest, I’m bolstered by the idea of Justine being there as a brilliant representative. I can think of few people more deserving.... 💜

llfarms is one of my favourite persons on Steemit, because she is so warm and fun and brave and giving, in short she is a beautiful person inwardly and now after I watched the video, I can say, also outwardly lol. I love your long hair lele <3.
I don't need to say that her blog is awesome, do I? I mean, check it out yourself if you haven't, because it's pretty obvious XD.
However, she's not only a great poster on Steemit. She's also an awesome curie curator, hard at work everyday looking for undiscovered gem and talent AND she is a great mentor to a lot of aspiring curators, guiding us and giving us plenty of advice and encouragement whenever we need it. I can assure you that this mentorship is pretty full on, as she has to review a lot of our suggestions.
I have seen her in many discord channels, and not only she is nice to everyone, she has the strength to be honest and brave also. She speaks her mind freely, even when she disagrees with whales. I have witnessed her trying to pacify two powerful Steemians and she bravely charged through in between them because she believes they are both good people.
I feel that Steemfest wouldn't be the same if lele is not there. She is really a star quality Steemian and I wish more people would be able to know her so they can treasure her presence in this platform because we absolutely need people like her to stick around.

As she says, she hates talking about herself, so allow me to do it for her. Umm, where should I start.
I first met her in our Curie Curation Links channel on the Curie Discord server. It was a bit of a training ground for us to find new Curie Curators. In there we could give them feedback on posts and help them learn what it takes to become part of Curie. It was clear to me almost immediately that she'd be an amazing curator for Curie. It was a big plus that she was already a part of the Helpie community, but really she was a natural. As such, I recommended her to become part of Curie soon after.
Since joining Curie in March she has ascended to the upper levels of the community. She quickly became a Top Curator, as well as one of the top mentors. She has personally been responsible for submitting over 200 post that have received a Curie upvote in her six months with Curie. It would take me too long to figure out how many others she has been indirectly responsible for through mentoring, and giving advice to many other curators who have come to trust her opinions.
She, two other Curie Top Curators, and I created c-squared a little over three months ago. It is a broader curation project focused on curating a larger portion of the blockchain populous. It can get some attention and upvotes to many posts that won't fit within the Curie guidelines.
She is the perfect spokesperson for curation on the platform. Without curation everything on the blockchain would fall apart. She works tirelessly on curation, and as she and many others have said, she is passionate about it. While at SteemFest she will be doing a great presentation on all facets of curation. Hopefully it will lead to more people realizing just how important it is, and share in her passion.
I know all the other contestants have a great reason for going, but I think it you really look at all of the reasons @llfarms is going you will see she is extremely deserving of the support of this contest - and of the many comments I have already read here.
In closing - did I mention she has also become a great friend in the past six months, and is an amazing person in general - I suspect that has been the case for much longer than six months.

She represents not only these communities but what I believe to be the best way forward for the blockchain as a whole. Her outlook on what needs to be done to make Steem a top 10 cryptocurrency in terms of community building is spot on. This girl needs to be at steemfest.

Oh I hope I am not too late to cast a vote for my sweet, badass friend, Justine! I wish I had more time to say more, but I just would like to say what a beautiful heart and soul she has. I feel that Justine deserves to go to Steemfest because she is such a huge supporter of the people of Steemit. She is constantly lifting the undiscovered and unappreciated bloggers up to the top of the seas, so to speak, via her mad curating skills and also by way of her kind words of encouragement and advice.
She's like a little fairy ninja.. floating around behind the scenes, sprinkling startdust here and there and everywhere.. little sprinkles of love and hope and joy. I sound like a Hallmark card just exploded or something, I know.. but my words are true. I remember meeting him for the first time at the SIN event in nigeria , one of the biggest steem event of last year mind you.
Since then, hes been one steemian who has done enough for the promotion of crypto and steem in nigeria .
He has gone as far as ghana for the promotion of cryptocurrency , something only a few of us have done.

In life people deserve an opportunity to improve themselves in various ways. But not all get these opportunities. There are those who bring such opportunities down to the grassroots of their communities.
There is one I know who has selflessly shown love and commitment to his community in various ways. To him it does not matter if you are a close friend or not. He protects the interests of the entire members of the community and beyond. He has made sacrifices countless times for his community, especially the steembees community also known as @kingbee and the larger Nigerian steemit family. I have only met him once and most times when I needed assistance he is there to render it when I call. Because I know that if this opportunity is given to him. I and many others will be partakers of this gesture because of what the heart of this individual represents for his community. His leadership style is with utmost caution and fairness. Integrity is his style, content and dedication are all embeded in his personality. If anyone deserves a Steemfest ticket, it's definitely @ewuoso. Long before I knew him, I've seen and heard a lot of recommendations from people asking me to seek him for guidance if ever I'm lost on this platform. Should I mention the number of people he had brought into the platform or the good deeds he did in the community he belonged to?
There isn't a Nigerian community he hadn't shown or deserve the spirit of superstardom. I really did not get to know @ewuoso early because either joined Steemit months after he joined. I have heard a lot of things about him and like a normal human, he has is good and bad side but in regards to Steemit I have heard a lot of beautiful stories about him. How he builds communities and how he has helped a lot of people on their Steemit journey. I really think @ewuoso deserves to win this ticket to steemfest. Reading through the comments that other Steemians has dropped here completely tell how kind-hearted this man is.
Although I haven't meet this man personally, but I have heard positive things about him. A friend that refer me to steemit @Engrbrain1 has told me several times how this man is usually been rush when he come to the steemithub community in UYO. I myself have get to know that these positive comments people gives about him are not just hype because this man has helped me solve steemit related issues at anytime I needed him to.
The name @ewuoso is a name that most Steemians in Nigeria respect a lot not for anything but for his selfless services to humanity. He has contributed to the success of so many communities on the steemit blockchain.

@ewuoso has always been a motivation to me. He was one of the first people I came in contact with. He has a funny way of passing his message across but he has a good heart and is pleased to see others succeed with him.
I came on contact with him last year August when my steemit journey began. He was a very active leader of the steem restaurant community (@kingbee). He took his time to tutor newbies on making strides on the platform. I still have some of those tutorials he gave then that I copied from whatsapp that I kept for future reference.

I remember back then in my early days on steemit @ewuoso went up to the extent of giving people money to ensure that they can sustain themselves and post valuable content on the steem blockchain.

Now to issue at iconic met this dude in January this year. His Steemit group called Steembees was my first Steemit group I was part of. I love the intensity he put into Steem promotion in Africa. Wow . I'm quite happy you made it to the second round bro. My First time eating @ewuoso was on a Steem meet-up in Enugu state organised by @theheralds of @steemsoccer1 and others. His manner of relating with us the 'newbies' then interested me so much and I will say, contributed to in some way to my growth here.

I had not been on steemit for awhile because of School but i had to come in to say this.. @ewuoso has proved himself time and time again to be of great benefit to the Nigerian community. I am constrained by time and wont be abke to pour out the many activities of @ewuoso in advocating for steemit and bringing so many Nigerians to the knowledge of steemit. Not only did he bring people, he personally took upon himself to teach and also curate the new ones encouraging them to cintinue. I was opportuned to work with ewuoso few months back, i must say he's a motivated, nice and very productive person. Although our time together was short, i got to learn a lot of things from him. A lot of steemians and members of the @steemjet community can testify of his personality. He deserves this opportunity, I sincerely wish he gets on the Plane to Poland. Lovely Vlog @raj808! I love all your ideas for a real 'Write' SMT, it's important, as I do see posts that are undervalued a lot even though a lot of hours have been put in the work. The way you talk about poems is the way I experience it with photography: a single photo without text won't be rewarded on Steem - even though I've spend 1 hour researching, 1 hour driving to the location, 1 hour finding the right spot, settings, or waiting for the perfect light, 1 hour driving back home, another hour going through the files and selecting the one to edit... Oh, and I don't even talk about the thousands of euros I spend on the gear or traveling to locations :P But still I'm expected to add a few sentences to that picture right? Like any artist in a museum also writes a text with his artworks?
Just an example of course, I actually don't (always) mind writing a few sentences, but I do believe SMT's will create a different set of rules for many artforms like photography and poetry that will get them more rewards and visibility. I'd love to see it happen sooner rather than later :-)

This is so true what you are saying here and the comparison is very apt between photography and poetry! I am one of the few curie curators who submits poetry and I have got nearly all of them accepted, but this is only because I'm able to point out the obvious indicators of exceptional talent in those works as that is what I strive for myself.
This made me chuckle as it is exactly how I feel about some perceptions around poetry. There is an unfortunate (generalized) attitude that a poem is a 10-20 minute post, and some are, but high quality poetry is far from that. It usually takes me between 1-2 hours to write/research a first draft with a lot of stopping and starting to allow for thoughts/images to develop and not force it. First draft is rarely up to standard. I spend on average 4 hours I'd say editing and re-writing a poem over a few days as the feeling and understanding of where it has sprung from, subconsciously, deepens over time. Ha ha, I published a poem on steemit about 6 months ago that I had abandoned in disgust over ten years before. I saw it in my folder and re-read it, completely re-wrote it and edited it a few times and it ended up something I was proud of when before it had honestly been very sentimental & cliche. All in all around 10 hours went into creating that poem.
I've just realized that this may sound very high handed 😂, but I'm only relating these experiences as example of what I know happens on steemit to many other creative writers. I feel like WritCoin could help in rewarding through a kind of specialized curation. Sure it would be a little mad for a poem written in 5 minutes to get a $10 upvote, but one that is exceptional and took 4-5 hours or more over two days? I personally think that $10 is cheap. Same applies to other disciplines like photography which you mention.

@raj808 - I listened to your vlog with great interest. I have been fortunate to have had a few, no, a couple of @curie votes and while I don't consider myself to be a creative writer per se, I like writing and have written a lot - in different contexts. I've been on @steemit for just over a year and am in a little bit of the doldrums at the moment, which means that I'm not very prolific at the right now.
That said, I am so interested in what people consider to be quality. I have written posts that I've considered "up there" as my best and they've had little if no traction. Others I've dashed out and they've been really popular (lucrative), and one even got "curied". It confounds me.
I also see work on Steemit that should not get into a "published" space - not from a content point of view - from the perspective of plain poor grammar and spelling. I know that I tread on dangerous ground with second language writers and I am prepared (and do) forgive a lot when there is clear effort put into the writing and getting it right. What I can't forgive is where it's so bad as to be totally incoherent and incomprehensible. Then the writer does him/herself and readers a disservice. Better to build an audience in one's mother tongue and which would be more meaningful all round. Similarly, I have no time for "spammy" posts that are just to "get stuff out there" rather like a Gattling gun spraying all over the show. They clog up feeds and waste time.
This is not to say that every post interests me, or that every post that my blogpals write interest me. I mean no disrespect when I say that there are topics in which I have no interest and similarly, if I write about something, like cooking, about which I am quite passionate, am I going to follow every food blogger. So boring just to be reading and writing about cooking (or my cats!) - for me and my followers. I have other interests - like gardening and current affairs and will read about these, comment quite verbosely (like now!) but not always, sometimes nver write on those topics.
So, I think that this is a really important debate - not just about what is quality, but also how prolific good writers - not just creative in the broader sense, of fiction and poetry, are recognised and rewarded.
@quillfire has also had something to say on these issues and put forward some proposals. I think it would be enormously valuable to have likeminded folk who are grappling with these challenges and spending time thinking them through, sit in a room and not just discuss them, but come up with something that is mutually beneficial.
So, it's about engagement and yes, it's equally about the reward. like you and many Steemians, I need to be generating an income. If I spend time here, which I enjoy, but I'm not seeing material benefit, I have to spend my productive time elsewhere. This is partly why I've not posted for nearly 2 weeks - I've simply been caught up with stuff of life and some of it to do with my currently very currently "unlucrative" day job. Another story (or two) for another time!
I do hope that you get to Steemfest and I look forward to the outcome of the deliberations and your sharing of them.

Some very interesting points you raise @fionasfavourites and many of them lead to much wider concerns for steemit which need addressing before this platform has any chance of providing an appealing (easily understandable) user experience, especially as a new-comer.
In regards to curie, the curators have to follow a very stringent set of criteria that focuses on rewarding undervalued authors. It is not perfect but works as well as can be expected in the context. So, often a post that you may consider better than one you've previously received a curie for may not get a vote due to the fact that it is extremely risky for a curator to submit a post for review that is not older than 2-4 weeks. This can cause a lot of confusion for people when they first arrive at steemit, or if they don't learn the criteria curators have to abide by. If a curie curator recieves too many rejections by submitting posts that don't follow the guidelines, they loose their place as a curator. I honestly think steemit.inc should list various nuances of how curation guilds work on the landing page for new users so that they can understand from the start what to expect.
In regards to some posts doing better than others, with no seeming recourse to quality in why they haven't done so well, this has happened to me many times also. I find that the underlying factor often is due to me not being able to network on discord at that time. My experience of steemit has been that if you don't network, you don't get anywhere and even, as you've pointed out, when something entirely out of your control stops you from putting the time in, the engagement can fall off very quickly. I have experienced this recently as well.
I get where you're coming from completely, and I am only focusing on creative writing, as it is what I know I'm good at and I have some contacts in mainstream publishing that might be able to help me explore this idea beyond just a steemit community. But I honestly believe/hope that the SMT mechanism could help all writing interests on steemit take back the platform to reward quality content within their discipline. Whether it be, blogging, subject specific writing, creative writing, film making etc. Of course communities already do this to an extent but the whales (and delegated SP going out to bidbots) have huge amounts of their Steem Power tied up. The community minded among them delegate to communities focused on content they value but that system is essentially an oligarchy dictating what has value on steemit. If an SMT can create a bubble where a big amount of steem power can be locked up to reward content based on quality, while bringing more outside investment/interest to the platform, we the small fry, can possibly level the playing field. An SMT ICO could possibly achieve this. Ha ha, this is the type of thing I want to explore with devs at steemfest.
I think that this is a key and will/can destroy this platform if it is not addressed. Quality content creators, in all disciplines, will leave if they don't see reasonable growth based on a fair factor. Ha ha, I think my video shows clearly that I believe that factor should be quality. I'm hopeful that this idea could increase this dynamic in the creative writing fields. I hope also, that others do the same for other subject areas.

Your dedication is very strong in a lot of different fields: creative writing/poetry, charity, and a nice idea to reward quality, that if it catches on, it can act as a flywheel to fill this platform with truly meaningful contents, for both the writer and the reader.
For this, I strongly wish you can be rewarded with the steemfest ticket. Your voice and your ideas need to reach for the widest possible attendance!

I've gotta say, I have known @raj808 since this last summer - but that's more than enough to warrant my praises for him. This dude is a great community person and has laboured to earn his bread - even apologizing for being late or not showing up when it isn't expected. He has a sense for community, which Steemit needs more of. The more we can promote communities and less vicious or conniving people, the less we'll have to worry about small accounts never getting represented and bigger accounts getting the good deals when they don't deserve them. I know @raj808 in the #finishthestory area than anywhere else - but I see talent, creativity and care for his stories. I never see one entry where he slacks behind or is late to publish within the contest restrictions - he always is on the mark and shoots to exceed well regardless. Which I say are very important in this stage of Steemit's future if Steemit wants to warrant a long shelf-life. Including the fact he isn't secluded to that area (duh) and can be almost a renaissance man if he so put the time to doing so, which I don't doubt he's going to become such one day. @raj808, get that ticket!

I think you have hit the mark in your comment about one of the issues I want to address with this whole WritCoin idea.
I most definitely want the WritCoin voting mechanism to be designed so that it rewards only on one criteria - quality! Not to say that only the best would get rewarded, but it would be proportional and most definitely.... not allowed to become something that people with big SP can minipulate and buy. There are ways to ensure this but they just take a little more time and effort, ha ha and a shed load of administration. But as I said in my first post (linked below the vlog) the staking mechanism and vetting of community members can go a long way to stop this manipulation.
Anyway, I'm working on a presentation at the moment which should hopefully cast an even clearer light and dispel a few more of the shadows of uncertainty ;-)
Yup, I think engagement is of great importance on Steem(it) because without it there won't be any long lasting relationships created - and that is what so special with Steem, that it has brought people together in real life too.
The WritCoin is an interesting concept and I hope you'll be able to develop it further.

When he would pitch a post to curie, his arguments and reasoning were very thorough and I watched as he was the first curator there to make a successful argument for poetry curation! I would happily follow and support any project he's working on, and I'm especially excited about his SMT idea to retain creative writers. 😃

I shall be eternally grateful for that as a good workshop can bring a writer to their center and allow them to find their voice, especially with poetry. I know you're representing a number of parties (Project Giving, for example), but if you go to Steemfest, I'll feel that I, the individual blogger, will also be represented. You've always stayed connected to Steemians who appreciate your work. And your ideas about forming a creative writing community that will have a system of rewards sounds interesting.
Right now, as a person who likes to write creatively, I usually feel that such a blog is risky. Unless I write as part of a group, there's not likely to be an audience for my creative writing, no matter how good it may or may not be. So I default to more technical material--which I also enjoy very much. What you describe is an unexploited opportunity to attract creative writers. This can only make Steemit a more vibrant community.
The idea of compiling anthologies is very good. Writers like to think their pieces may have an extended lifespan. Anthologies would offer that possibility.
I hope you go to Steemfest. You're the kind of person who will turn personal good fortune into a benefit for everyone. Good luck, @raj808!

I get exactly where you're coming from in feeling the pressure to write other articles because they pay better and that is what I want to look at addressing for sure. It should not be that way and honestly, it is easy for some people to say 'oh.. well no one wants to read poems or fiction', but that is not why tech and other tags get rewarded higher. Blockchain/development articles have utopian, video/vlogs have Dtube. Big accounts voting quality in those fields. Fiction/poetry needs the same, maybe Writcoin can be that mechanism :-)
I believe that it is an opportunity also and that it is entirely possible to attract other publishing entities and get them to disregard their usual First Publishing Rights criteria if I can leverage the system of value that a vote functional SMT like Writcoin could bring. To simplify it; if I can facilitate the rewards on posts for excellent steemit creative writing to be reasonably substantial and considered remuneration for inclusion in an anthology, then all that needs to be tackled is the costs of printing.
I believe as steemit grows and becomes more accepted in the mainstream, that many other publishers will be very interested in regards to the emerging market and marketing opportunity that it represents. I hope that it plays out like that, as then we as owners/investors in the currency (Steem&WritCoin) can make sure that fair partnerships are arrived at. Currently power is skewed in one direction.
Anyway, this is all just conjecture at this point. I am just excited to see if/how this can be made possible :-)

After reading all this egregiously deserved support, I decided to be brief: @raj808 is the man for that ticket.
In Rowan there's talent, lots of that, joined with an astounding, caring and positive personality. He's down on earth and selfless: just look at all the support that he gave to our Bananafish community and the #finishthestory, but also the charity project and, before, the tireless mentoring at the promo-mentors initiative and @curie, of course (plus the isleofwrite and the freewrite and God knows how many other Steemit communities have benefitted from his presence!). As a fiction and poetry writer, I can only be enthusiastic about his SMT writcoin project. It's a brilliant idea and I feel that it's what we need to invert the track and take some balance in the Steemit ecosystem, where quality should win over para-financial speculations. Hola Eric, difícil la tarea que tienes entre manos, sin embargo y sin dudarlo, creo que si alguien es merecedor de ese ticket para el Steem Fest es Nathaniel @nnnarvaez, quien no solo ha mostrado durante todo un año (además como el mismo lo afirma, trabajado por 24 horas los 7 días de la semana y aunque él no lo mencionó aún a costa de su salud) su compromiso y su pasión por la plataforma, sino que de manera incansable ha buscado el bienestar general, ha sido formador de una parte del talento con que ahora cuenta la comunidad hispana. Sus ideas, siempre regidas por la ética y aplicadas para hacer el bien son indiscutiblemente muy buenas, y prueba de ello es que muchas han sido empleadas por otras comunidades. Nathan dirige importantes proyectos en la comunidad, conoce y entiende la cadena de bloques y merece conocer a las grandes ballenas de esta cadena, no puedo ni siquiera imaginar lo productivas que serían las reuniones y discusiones entre ellos, el beneficio que traería a la comunidad hispana esta interacción, segura estoy que nacerían nuevas y muy buenas iniciativas.

Cuando te conocí comencé a seguir tu trabajo. Me di cuenta tempranamente quién eras. Eres un líder natural en la comunidad de habla hispana porque un verdadero líder no busca seguidores, busca personas que piensen por sí mismas, y eso es lo que tú haces: educar, formar e informar para que cada quien tengan sus propios criterios.
Tu inteligencia, don de trabajo y visión estratégica (definitivamente nadie ve lo que tú ves, nadie, ni como tú lo ves) han dado los frutos de tus constantes y denodados esfuerzos. A todo le sacas estrategias y posibilidades para que la participación y beneficios sean de todos. Eres desprendido, muy ético tanto en tus propuestas como en el desarrollo de tu trabajo, que en tan poco tiempo han dado frutos realmente increíbles (@bebeth, @banca, @delega, @reveur, @castellano, @gatillo)
Tú eres capaz de ayudar sin ver para atrás y sin ver para los lados. Te preocupas por la gente, realmente te preocupan los demás. Sacas el máximo provecho a las herramientas de Steemit para ponerlas a la disposición de todos. No eres egoísta. Por el contrario eres desprendido.
Cuando llegué a Steemit encontré a un amigo en ti. Puedo dar fe cómo has ayudado a nuestro proyecto (@proyectocardumen) sin pedir nada a cambio; bueno, sólo calidad, ética y compromiso. Todas tus peleas han sido en ese sentido y son por el bienestar común.

Indudablemente Nathaniel merece ir al SteemFest, no ven lo peculiar que es ajajaja y ese es el espiritu que se necesita en estos eventos, personas con las que puedas pasar un buen rato y hablar de cualquier tipo de tema. Además se necesita que más personas de la comunidad hispana nos representen, y el, ha estado siempre presente y ha tratado de que sus palabras lleguen a mas y mas personas, entregado completamente a la plataforma, y que ha hecho un gran trabajo a lo largo de todo este tiempo, y lo han notado en su comunidad, Reveur, y su afan de siempre educar otros.
Y a los Jueces: que mejor que él para contarnos a todos aquellos que no podemos ir, la esencia y la experiencia de lo que es un SF y lo que significa pertenecer a esta gran comunidad.

Sí. A pesar de que no es un concurso de canto, se trata de hacer comunidad. Open Mic es un lugar donde hagas lo que hagas, siempre te vas a sentir, al menos yo, alguien como yo lo siente, que es tu lugar. Es uno de mis lugares. Quizá tomen en cuenta eso. Sería bonito conocer a los Steemians que estarán allá.

Ella es un gran apoyo para la comunidad hispana como curadora, con lo que fué su su trabajo en @provenezuela desarrollando la música y el talento de los venezolanos y ahora desde su blog, es un ejemplo a seguir.
@anomadsoul ella merece ir al steem fest porque parece una hormiguita está en cuanto grupo hispano hay, en las actividades, con un gran apoyo a la comunidad, además de ser muy divertida y excelente persona como lo ha mostrado en su video, no deberían perderse conocerla en persona en el steem fest!

Cuando miras de cerca a una persona... eres capaz de apreciar sus defectos y atributos, cuando hablas de temas cercanos al corazón de esa persona conoces la bonanza y la amargura que puede tener. Cuando me encontré con @betamusic me pareció una mujer hermosa, emprendedora, con ganas de superación, ahora que el tiempo ha pasado... conozco a Betania (@betamusic) y puedo apreciar su humildad, su calidez, su calidad humana, la historia que la arropa y los sueños que la empujan.
Ahora mismo no se trata de "por qué yo le doy mi apoyo?" se trata de "por qué ella nos apoya?"
Si bien mi estimada Betania es una mujer emprendedora... también debo decir que a ella le gusta impulsar a otros, como puede, con sus medios, y apoya mucho a nosotros sus paisanos. Ella es miembro de varias comunidades como @votovenezuela, @provenezuela o @crecevenezuela, eso a parte de su concurso "sing it", y que quede claro esto: no estoy diciendo que ella sea un ángel, estoy diciendo que ella es un ser humano pero de esos hermosos, de los que alegra la vida.

She has been here for almost as long as me and I remember finding her because of her charity work with animals. I have also enjoyed hearing her singing and I've seen her participate in many contests. She is a really nice woman and she should win!!!
