MAYBE IT'S NOT HOW YOU DO WELL IN SCHOOL BUT HOW YOU DO WELL IN LIFE, GENERALLY| PAUSE FOR THOUGHT Week 16
Recognitions or awards in school are a way to acknowledge the brilliance of students for doing really well with their studies. Medals of excellence are a tangible proof or a piece of evidence of fame and pride.
These are for sure valuable to recognize the effort, intelligence, and dedication of students to achieve their goals to be nothing but the best.
However, life outside the four corners of a classroom is pretty much different. It is not as easy as studying the whole pages of the book and enumerate or identify the right answers.
Life is a constant battle of deciphering whether or not the decision that you will be making will be good or bad for you. It is exhausting to know that life is full of uncertainties unlike school exams that you will always get the right answer if you study hard. Life is a never-ending exam that as we age it gets even more complex.
Many in this world have not attained a degree, college drop-out or didn't do well in school, or just finished secondary school but become great leaders, millionaires or billionaires, achieved the title Man of The Year or listed among the most influential people. But how could they do it when most of them never excelled in school?
Perhaps the awards given in school are not the bases of one's prosperous future. They may have influence but never an assurance in winning the never-ending game in life.
A friend of mine had never done so well during his college days but as I see him now, he has become a successful entrepreneur. He has built a good reputation in food industry that he is now a franchisor.
I vividly remember the very moment we applied as school teachers in a public school but both of us failed to make the cut as we were simply inexperienced at that time. And those applicants who were well-experienced and with numerous certifications of awards were instantly hired.
Such a great realization I had recently, when I see my friend making a good fortune for being a franchisor at the age of just 26. I reckon he aims to become a tycoon. And I wish nothing but the best of his business.
Life is a game! A couple of effort and strategical approach makes one win the game.
Maybe it's not how one does well in school, but how one plays well in life to achieve great successes.
