First Time playing Paladins Review and Gameplay
Hello and good day to you all,
Today will be looking at a game I recently downloaded some hours back and am already addicted to it and it’s none other than Paladins.
Paladins is a first and third person shooter game, where user get to choose the view they want while in-game by pressing the keyboard c while game is on.
It is a free to play multiplayer game, meaning it cost nothing to download but it houses different function were gamer can decide to spend few bucks to power up their various characters.
For some while now, been watching the game-play via @dlive and some of the recorded version from @dtube and I must say I was really interested in getting it.
Currently, Paladins is still in is Beta stage so I guess I came in a little bit earlier than I thought xd.
Downloading the game yesterday and have already played on a time of 8hrs lol, just can’t get my hands of the keys.
The game centers around different champions, heavily armed and each with their own specialty. Just like every new game you newly install, the game startup is usually confusing at first and am yet to fully grasp the whole content and control involve in the game but so far, am more and more entertained every moment I log in.
Upon starting the game, you are required to sign up or log in if you already registered. The option to automatically log in with your google account or Facebook account is available, this act as a data saver for each level or stage you unlock, no one would like to wake up the next day and find out his/her data has been deleted and you need to start all over then.
That would really been painful and kind of frustrating.
To start with, as a new user you are presented with various options to claim some free weapons, also new equip ranging from appearance to armor and of course a new horse, who goes into battle without a means of transportation?
To claim some of this equip, I am going to discuss this some other time, and truly the free weapon is quite needed if you rather play for free not spending for the moment.
To start game-play click on play, yea that is brilliant as if we don’t already don’t that, from the provided menu different game mode can be seen from there, and if you a noob like me, I would advise you check out the tutorial section to become familiarize with most of the keys and their actions pro gamer don’t need this, I wish.
Each game mode comes different game maps, making the game more and more entertaining, although some maps require you reaching certain level before unlocking it for you this map is not for noob like you, if only they knew my gaming skill, run to the front-line and get killed consistently, although have seen similar things via other games so it’s not that new.
The next screen you are opted in to choose your champion character to play with, many are currently locked but that’s no issue with time we hope to unlock and use them all, all better still spend some few bucks to purchase in game money and spend in unlocking each and every champion are sweet will that be?
As a new user, some characters are automatically unlocked for you to use, others can be unlocked from redeemable code, this will be discuss alongside how to claim code as a newbie, like I said its best you go through the tutorial section first to become familiarize with the keys, but careful be it tutorial it’s still a little bit difficult and sometimes, you can be paired with other players not just bots alone.
So, if you thinking of going in and beating the bots, then you have another thing coming for you lol.
Like I earlier said, each champion is unique, we have front liners, healers and backup, for a team to be really okay and steady, each of this champion is needed and one or more absent might just lead to your team demise.
After selecting your champion from the selection menu, remember each user needs to select his/her own champion, failure to do so will lead to the game unable to start which is kind of frustrating Personally, I think a random option should be put in place which choose a champion for a user, after all for you to log in, means you ready to play.
The next menu is a customize option, were a player is able to customize his/her own character, be it equipping of new gun, armor or even changing or look use of hat and a quick shave xd, this menu provides the option for that.
Upon loading, a player is able to customize and use the desired card he deem fits, cards can be collected from unboxing of reward which can be gotten by purchasing with in game money or upon completing a desired objective.
Card goes a long way to determine the game outcome, as each card is unique, they offer various options, like increment in health when you leave a danger zone, or dealing more damage to the enemy, best part is, their functions are written clearly on them so you don’t make mistakes when selecting any of them.
Gameplay
Player starts from a safe zone, with other players and a certain amount of time is given in order for you to buy/acquire materials from in game market, there is also the option to automatically purchase material by selecting the auto feature and when your money is just enough for it, the equip is bought automatically, a notification is given to you as well, regarding the purchase.
It takes approximately 30seconds give or take to fully get equipped and the game commences, each player is given a horse to start with, like I earlier said who goes into battle with no transport.
Control is quite easy, although am yet to fully master all but the major game keys are still your W A S D for movements and Q E F for actions, but am quite sure one can change it via the control settings to meet his/her need and the background sound is superb.
