Hi Guys.

So recently I bought a new game ~~Medal of Honor Airborne~~, although the game is not that popular in the market and not much talk about it but since it was a first person shooter game, it should be packed with a lot of action right?

Personally FPS games are becoming more and more interesting the past few years better graphic are been put into them, longer storyline. Unlike before were you could finish a game within 1hr and you have to restart all over becomes all boring no new happening just what you played already, but now you could get a game that would take you about 30mins just to finish the Intro lol right and every scene comes with a new character, guns and many more. You have to think harder more than before were you just walk, shoot run etc. but now you could be in a stage playing it for more than 3 times and still having gotten used to it, or found the link to move further, you now have to think a lot to move forward unlike before, although there are sometimes when it becomes boring and hard after trial and error for about five times and still you have gotten the hang of it, probably mind just end up deleting the game from your pc.

Medal of Honor was released in 2007, didn’t get much attention from the public although it has been on mobile phones back then so the graphics not that great but it packs a lot of punch and the gameplay is quite interesting it relates to world war II and the storyline centered about a private name Travers.
The game starts with a tutorial were you been taught how to parachute down from a chopper reason because you are behind enemy line and the chopper cannot afford to land, no save landing spot, the safe mark as been mark when a green flare you are expected to parachute to that position which has been secured by allies so the tutorial shows you parachuting from the plane and you try to adjust your keys direct your player to the safe landing zone, but the tutorial here is represented by a green smoke and you are expected to parachute into the green smoke as it signifies your territory. The trainer brief you while on the plane the do and don’t.

Jumping out of the airplane is one of the safest thing a man can do provided he follower the proper procedure according to the trainer

So you are expected to jump alongside your comrade in arms if you don’t jump in time you will be pushed of it, then green light means go and the red mean ready which is shown close to the door exit and when you jump, the scene is quite beautiful at first that’s during training but war tends to change everything makes everything ugly. Upon landing you try to direct your sensor properly to avoid landing on your face and try to move your player further away from the enemy base to avoid been killed instantly.

Gameplay

The game has multiplayer mode and a campaign mode but I don’t think anybody access the multiplayer mode anymore so let’s move over to the campaign mode.
The campaign mode is much and each of the campaign has its own objective some require to secure a position, take out high ranking army or detonate a special gun let’s take a look at the first campaign that’s after the training.

HUSKY

To start with your commanding officer will give you a briefing about the mission what is required of you, your participation and what the mission is about, he tells you what lead to it, why you are been deployed back and how it will benefit your nation truly his talk is quite inspiring but that’s how is supposed to be, give the soldiers more courage to face their enemies as low self-esteem might lead to their quick demise, make them see the reason why they are fighting not just deploy them behind enemy lines and expect them to come out victorious, he also tells you the do and don’t while parachuting and how you should stay clear from the red flares as it signifies the enemy territory and green flare signify home territory. You should try to control your player to the green flare as smoothly as possible if for any reason you land at the red flare you should be well prepared to be welcome by a whole bunch of enemy troops that way we know you plan to win the war alone lol.

Now you are expected to go to the artillery and select the required gun for this mission as it is very necessary it would determine your performance meaning some stage has a lot of snipers and choosing a shot gun and a semi machine gun SMG won’t do you any good in this stage, probably just end up getting killed by the snipers over and over again

So that’s the picture of our arsenal, the player can carry has many has three different riffles two long/range weapon and a pistol as the default gun it comes with an infinity number of ammo others require to pick ammo along the way and there is still the option of you swapping your gun for the enemy gun if yours don’t not meet your taste you could always change it during the mission, still act as a well to get a new gun if you run out of ammo on your default gun.

Upon selecting your desired weapons, you will be deployed by a plane to the war front, due to reason that you are already behind enemy line and no safe spot to land, you then parachute down from the plane after all I believe you must have passed through the training alongside are your comrades in war some even get killed while still on the plane others upon parachuting are killed while still on the air truly war as no foes or friend just bunch of people following command, so you adjust your player to the green flare as discussed earlier but if you feel brave enough you could direct how close to the red flare but try to take cover at s high ground say a roof to give you better chance of coming out alive.

Upon landing there is a map at the left side of your screen which shows you the closest objective the red mark indicate the presence of enemy and the more you take out, the lesser they become, remember you are equipped with two riffles and a pistol, the riffles require you collecting mire ammo as you progress and there is still the option of you swapping your gun for another weapon if you see fit. Probably you prefer the firepower or you are out of ammo, whatever is the case the option is available. Fight your way through the enemy line along with your comrades to get to the objective.

The first objective here is to plant a grenade by the side of an enemy rail gun, alongside your comrades you make a path to the gun careful enemies are close by they will try to protect it from all direction under rapid fire you successfully get close to the gun and plant it, now it’s time to take cover from the explosive still under enemy fire. Using your arsenal at your disposal, you fight your way out of the situation alongside your comrades looking for the other closest objective. Each mission might have up to five different objectives and the map is wide, so you have to make your way through defeating any enemy that stands in your part.

Your life point regenerate over time when you stop taking damage, although If it passes a certain point it won’t regenerate more than that and if you don’t take cover you will be killed right there and then you have to start the mission again from the last save checkpoint.

At the end, the game is packed with a lot of action and many characters with different weapons be unlocked at different stages. Plan on purchasing it before? Please do because it’s worth it till next time.
