BANG! BANG! BANG!

 

Fires and smokes fill the air as hundreds of the "fire bringer's" bullets peppered the lesser dragons, wyverns, and even some unlucky greater dragons without stop.

ROOOAAAAR!!!

Aggrieved, the dragons could only try their best to dodge the bullets. But the incredible speed of the bullets makes it a very difficult task. The wyverns, and the greater dragons are still better off but the lesser dragons are not so lucky.

After Matthew introduced the "fire bringer" the state of the war changes in favor of mankind. The greater dragons could only order a quick retreat. Never before do the proud dragons suffered such a setback.

The kingdom's general and soldier watch the dragons as they retreat with complicated feeling. They are obviously happy that they manage to force the dragons to retreat—an event that they never thought as possible. Yet reality is just in front of their eyes, and they cannot help but accept that the dragons are no longer as invincible as they imagined. They too could be defeated and a thorough defeat at that.

The news of the dragonkind's retreat reaches the ears of the king, making him esctatic. "Finally, some good news," he thought. "Give me a quill and parchment," he ordered.

An attendant enter carrying the things the king ordered. Without saying anything, the k8ng quickly wrote a letter. After signing the letter and putting his royal seal on it. He ordered that the letter be delivered to Matthew as fast as possible.

After the attendant left his office he sighed and asked, "do you think that what I am is doing is correct?" He then added in a despondent voice, "I'm letting a young man shoulder such a huge responsiblity."

Few seconds later, a figure emerged from the shadows. This figure is none other than the king of assassins.

"True... this is unfair to the young man but since he agreed to show "that" weapon, it only meant that he has prepared to take the responsibility..." the king of assassins said. "Nonetheless, this responsibility is too heavy for a single person," he added before disappearing to the shadows.

"Indeed..." the king murmured before sighing.

Meanwhile, at Matthew's workshop, all craftsmen are busy assembling the "fire bringers." At the other side of the workshop sits Matthew, who is having a small meeting with the senior craftsman. The agenda of the meeting is the feasibility of making a much larger version of the fire bringer. Though they've created a larger fire bringers and the power and range of the weapon was enhanced, it is still not powerful enough to kill a greater dragon. Hence, they decided that a much larger fire bringer is necessary.

While Matthew's explaining the design, Aria, Amy, Maria are seating not faraway looking at them. Surprisingly, this three young ladies are not bickering with each other like they usually do. This started after the even at the firing range. Fully knowing the huge responsibility that Matthew carries on his shoulders after introducing the fire bringer, the girls cannot help but be a little depressed.

While the girls are mulling over this, a knight arrives carrying a package. Maria notices this and signal her subordinate to know what the knight wants.

A middle aged man approach the knight and asked what he needed. Not surprised by this the knight, points to the package in his hand, and then told him that he was sent by the king. Hearing this the middle aged man took the package and gave it to Maria who then stood and brought the package to Matthew.

After recieving the package, Matthew disperse the senior craftsmen amd opened the package. Inside are several letters with the royal seal on them. He then read the letters, and complicated emotions arose from his face.

While Matthew's mulling over the content of the letters, something was happening on a certain large island on the south. Large and terrufying flying creatures are approaching the island. This creatures are the strongest race in the world, the greater dragons!
