The mysterious girl answered with a smile. She then told them that the name the organization gave her was "Maria".

"Such a beautiful name!" Matthew thought, "yet she's an assassin..."

Matthew could only lament at the incredulity of the situation. While he was thinking of this he noticed something wrong with her statement said.

"The name that the "organization" gave you?" Matthew asked carefully.

Maria didn't mind the question and answered without care.

"Yup! Every assassins from the organization were orphans and they are ones who gave us names," she said.

"Sorry..." apologized Matthew.

He thought that he is being tactless but to his surprise, Maria simply laughed it off.

"You're a strange one to apologize to an assasssin, especially to the one who tried to kill you!" She replied while looking at Matthew strangely.

Matthew could only scratched his head. While Matthew is having fun conversing with Maria, he did not noticed the strange looks he was given by the people around him. This is especially true for Amy and Aria who are looking at them coldly.

"This bastard!" The girls cursed in their minds, "he completely forgot about us!"

Boris notices the two girls expression and felt headaches coming. He really can't figure thw young man at all. To think that he could flirt with the same assassin that tried to kill him before! Sure, this assassin is a beauty but that is no excuse to be so carefree in front of her!.

Sigh!

 

Boris could only sigh in exasperation, especially after seeing the two girls jealous expression. While he was thinking how to resolve this akward situation, Boris suddenly feel some killing intent! He draw his sword and shouted "watch out!" but was too late and multiple arrows flies towards Matthew and the girls!

Phewsh! Phewsh! Phewsh!

 

Everyone was momentarilly stunned due to shock after Boris shouted and was not able to recover even after the arrow flew to their targets!

When everyone thought that Matthew and the others are doom, flashes of lights suddenly appeared and clanking sounds are heard!

Clank! Clank! Clank!

 

When people looked at the scene, they are surprised to see a beautiful girl with flowing black hair standing before the table holding a spoon. The girl is none other than the "organization's" assassin Maria! On her feet are arrows scattered around! Surprisingly, the girl manages to block all arrows by herself and with a spoon at that!

Everything went silent, and the only noise is made by Boris breathing after reaching Matthew and the girls table. The knight captain finally snapped out of the stupor and yelled at the other knights. The knights then surround Matthew's table, weary of another attack.

The knights are sweating profusedly because but not because of fear. But because they Matthew almost died! Though most of the citizens are not aware of it, the knights are fully aware of the young man's importance to the kingdom, therefore no harm should befall upon him.

While everyone is thanking the gods, a gentle voice rang, waking everyone else.

"You knights sure are careless, almost letting your ward die," said Maria gently.

Despite the gentleness of her voice though, everyone could clearly feel the cold killing intent that laddens it.

Before anyone could say anything, he turned around towards Matthew then smiled.

"Let's finish our conversation some other time," she said. "You won't mind if I visit your workshop right?"

Matthew nodded and said a "no problem," thus making the girl happy.

After that, Maria left and disappears behind an alley.

Several hours later, the patrolling guards discovered some corpses lying on a certain dark alley. According to the investigations, this corpses belong to an assassin group called the "scorpions"!
