Anton felt Vika stiffen, and immediately took her elbow in the hope that his touch would support the girl.
She gave him a silent, grateful look, and they moved on, trying to keep up with Victor.

The girl stepped inside, her back feeling the presence of Anton. The door closed. Anton encouragingly pushed Vika in the back, and she slowly went down the narrow corridor in the direction of the vampire's office, where she had to get the first part of the amulet.
To the office of the owner of the castle girl arrived quickly and without any adventures. The key to the door of the room which her grandfather had given her entered easily through the opening of the lock, there was a faint click, and the door opened softly.
Vika hurried into the room, bolted the door behind her, and then slowly looked around.
In comparison with the other apartments of the castle, the study looked quite modest. It was decorated only with a fireplace in the corner of the room, a small painting on the wall, and a few busts.
The only furniture was a square ebony table and red-upholstered chairs around it.
She walked thoughtfully around the table, then tried to lift it... But she didn't. Vika sat down in the chair next to her and ran her hand over the nearest table leg. Nothing, no leads...
Her mind raced with disorderly thoughts: Where is the bracelet? In what leg of the table is it hidden? How do I get it?"
She couldn't remember what her grandfather had said about it. Pulling herself together, she decided that the best solution would be to check all the legs in turn.
The next two legs were no different from the first, but at the very top of the last, Vika found a small button under the tabletop. As soon as the girl gently pressed it, the leg slowly moved out from under the table, and Vika saw inside it a small oblong bundle. Inside it was a bracelet.
The first part of the task was completed. But the next stage seemed to the girl more dangerous.
She went to the door, opened it softly, and peered cautiously out into the corridor. Seeing nothing suspicious, she left the room, locked it, and went on...
