Ping Pong WHACK!! (50)
Jerome takes his stance
Leaning forward with knees slightly bent
Racket ready for defense
- ping
A spherical spiral
With Mozzarella cheese on top
Jerome holds his butterfly free
That racket was not trash
A compact platform of energy
Waiting for a high ball to smash
- pong
Jerome returned the serve with style
The ball spun with a smile
Cut at a 45 degree angle he can’t go wrong
Pushed with an under thrust
Spinning with might this ball can’t go long
The defender’s attention is a must
- ping
Sweat drops dripped from his brow
Down his cheek to the floor
The defender’s eyes are glued on the ball
His hand reached out close to the net
Then smash like a mosquito in the fall
Jerome was in trouble yet
- pong
Jerome was quick and sure in his blow
He mustered up all that he was able
He was not too slow
But his racket hit the table
- WHACK!!
Losing one point in the game of life is no biggie…

Some of you might know that I play ping pong twice a week. I made a promise to @coachjj that I wouldn't sit down for more than one hour without doing some stretches or exercise. This is what I do on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It is enough to get me sweating and now my ping pong routine became a poem. The most exercise I ever got out of ping pong was laughing at my own mistakes.

never thought you could make a poem on ping pong. cool! 👍
We should get together sometime and play a round ping pong games. I committed to writing a hundred poems so it becomes the only way to express myself. Just like you would write an update. This is my update. I could just say I played ping pong and lost but had fun doing it. But I felt the poem spoke the message better. I'm in Seodaemoon or Eunpyungu area most of the time. Did you see the news at the border? Traffic was terrible this morning.
oh yea i saw the news. i just think the north korean dude is not to be trusted. but anyways i live in daebangdong (dongjakgu) so we are not that far away. i'm not a huge fan of ping pong but we should definitely get together some time. and have some beer maybe 😃
Sometimes I am down there. I think that's around Boraemae hospital.
oh shit that's really close. that hospital is only 1 or 2 bus stops away from where i live. nice to know that there's a fellow steemian nearby!

I have to start following that rule too (can't sit for more than one hour) ... Sometimes I am here in front of my PC for 4-5 hours ata time :O ...
Wish I could play table tennis with you =) ... I actually love normal tennis but haven't got a partner to play with.
I would love to play tennis or ping pong with you @madelsage. In the past I practiced tennis off the wall. It's much better to have a partner. We have a teacher's ping pong club and volleyball club.
