How will the EU Copyright Directive affect Steem?
Steemit Inc removes wallet from steemit.com
Steemit Inc have now completed the hard rollout of the social steemit.com application.
The wallet functionality has now been removed from steemit.com to the separate steemitwallet.com site.
This separation will help improve key security as only the Posting Key will be needed on the social app. Warnings will be given if you try to use any other key on steemit.com.
Steem Alliance Townhall Meeting with @Ned
The Steem Alliance is holding a Townhall meeting in their Discord on Wednesday at 8pm UTC.
There will be an update on the Foundation elections including the chosen voting method.
Steemit Inc Executive Chair Ned Scott will be coming along to talk about how he feels about the process so far, as well as why he feels this election, and the future foundation, is so important.
DLease - 20 million SteemPower leasing milestone achieved
@BuildTeam has announced that its flagship delegation leasing product, DLease.io and its predecessor, the MinnowBooster.net leasing market, have reached a combined milestone of 20 million SteemPower in total facilitated leases since inception in 2017.
Total active leases currently have also reached a milestone of 2 million SteemPower, across approximately 2500 ongoing leases.
@dlike prepares for IEO next week
@dlike is following the lead of Steemhunt and launching an Initial Exchange Offering (IEO).
Their token sale will take place on the Korean exchange IDCM from 8 - 14 April.
@dlike is offering $45K in bonus tokens for the top 15 buyers.
As a part of the IEO promotion @dlike is looking for Korean influencers who use Kakao, Naver, cobak or coinpan.
Vimm.TV releases new version
Vimm.TV has released v0.1.27.
It has a number of improvements including a simplified wallet.

Aachen is on the German border with Belgium and the Netherlands and not far from Luxembourg and even France, so a very central place for a meetup.
