Perceptions, opinions and where we would like to go. In the long term we will all move to something else or somewhere else on the platform. A new server, new friends, a new game. Not all of us will remain active in the same community for the rest of our Steem life. We have different interests and goals to reach. This is one of the reasons I have emphasised over and over. We need to build community accounts Accounts that do not belong to one person. If any person stops using the Steem chain, it does not mean the account stops working. These committee accounts must be employed positions. An account in any other manner is owned by an individual.

Are we working on a foundation to build up personal accounts? If I remember right. We are going in the direction of supporting the chain. This seems to be getting confused with the long term goals for the chain. This is said to be something new. Nothing new is being proposed. The same thing that have been are being revamped and put forward again. The pace which we are moving from we will do and back to getting someone else to do is increasing. We all want a secure chain

These things have being going through my mind, over the weekend and yesterday. Something @EngineWitty in The Alliance discord server said to me While I was expressing part of this opinion.
"Sounds like Steem is up for sale"
I am sure it was said with humour by the laugh that followed. But it exploded in my mind. Relying on anything other than what we do is fruitless.

The same minds have got us this far. This far has been where we are for the last year. We need fresh minds with fresh minds to hold some positions of influence. The same minds thinking the same things will only bring more of the same.

Is the chain up for sale?

The project once the initial foundation has been formed will take time to build. There are going to be many disagreements from people with different objectives.

When I hear others talk about Steem or SBD I hear them mention the FIAT value all the time. Why is this? Why are we not thinking in terms of Steem as a currency or SBD? The idea of a Crypto is to reduce the need to rely on the present banking systems and third party charges we incur. Just about everyone I talk with goes to the FIAT value of the token.

Business working on the Chain and using SMT's to do so is great. First we need to build support to compensate for the finance industry will remove from the economy. SMT's can become available at any time and any business that wishes to make use of them would be welcome to. Assistance of how the chain works and how to make best use of the platform and chain are welcome to do so. They should by no means be subsidised by the foundation being formed. This foundation's investment should not be to rely on the support of exterior means. We need to create our own line of finance to rely on.

The same systems which are in place now in Steem and the majority of the Crypto world are the same as those in the physical world. The same as the big corporates and financial institutions. The very same thing we are trying to move away from we are growing at the moment.

The physical world that we all need to interact with is not just that way and that's the way it has always been. It has grown that way through manipulation, conspiracy, bribery, unpunished criminal acts, possibly even murder. All this is done with the backing of public funds which keeps the population.

The same thing is in Steem right now. Although right now there has been some diversity with games and new interactions with the chain. It is our votes to posts and our interactions with each other which keep the platform afloat. The 10,000 active users are what is keeping the platform going. Not just the witness and Steem Inc. Without the population making use of the chain, the chain would become useless.

Let's hope I miss more than I see.

Like your point on what cryptocurrency is supposed to be aimed at. That being, decentralization and putting money's control back in the hands of the people instead of banks, corporate institutions and governments.

Unfortunately, I see things as they are now. As some trying to become those corporates.
