Eat Strawberries

Met an old friend for lunch on Tuesday. Went to Whampoa Food Center. This place has a good variety of cheap local food. While some stalls close soon after lunch, there are many serving the dinner crowd which probably account for why it's mostly more crowded for dinner than lunch. There are many favorites. I like a corner stall that serves fish soup and fish head steamboat. The nasi lemak stall often serving a long queue. Hoover rojak has a long history. Middle row used to have a good oyster omelette but I could find it on Tuesday. Hope it has not close down.
Anyway, I had one of my favorite fish soup ($5) with rice ($0.50). The serving of sliced fish is generous and so is the vegetables in the soup. There is some pieces of yam and the soup taste really good. They provide the chilli with soy sauce and their own chilli sauce without you asking.
星期二约了个老朋友吃午餐。去了黄埔熟食中心。那里有多种廉价的新加坡地道食。虽然一些摊位午饭后不久就收摊，但很多都开市到夜间。是人群，是晚餐比早午餐多。有许多好吃的。我喜欢一个角落里卖鱼汤和鱼头炉火。椰浆饭摊子也经常排长龙。豪华啰喏有悠久的历史。中间一排曾经有一好吃的蚝煎，但那天我没找找它。希望它并没有停业。
我喜欢的鱼汤（$5）配碗白饭（$0.50）。慷慨鱼片和白菜煮在汤里。还有芋头块。不用问，摊主自动提供酱油辣椒和自己调的辣椒酱。

After lunch, I went to Giant Supermarket and saw some nice strawberries going for $2.95 each box. Bought 2 home for after dinner.
They are from Australia. Not a lot in one package but still filled a plate.
午饭后，去了超市，看到了一些不错的草莓促销价格每包$2.95。买了做晚餐后的水果。是澳大利亚的草莓。一包不是很多但仍然装上一盘。
