Lontong for lunch, Double Happiness (Chendol) for desserts

I was out last Saturday running some errand and had an early
lunch. Decided to try the malay food lontong in the food court.


The food is mainly rice cake sliced into mouthful portion and topped
with other ingredients including tau kua (a kind of firm tofu),
boiled egg and curry vegtables.

The lontong was not too bad though I would the temperature of the
gravy to be hotter.

上周六上午的外忙一些差事，然后来个早午餐。决定吃马来食物Lontong。对不起，不知如何翻lontong.

食物主要是切成小块的饭团。其他成分，包括豆干，鸡蛋和咖喱菜。

那Lontong哈算不错但我自己希望咖喱汁更热一点。

After perspiring some bit, decided to cool down in The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. Needed something cold and something sweat. Good thing I saw this 1983 cafe at basement which sells local food including chendol.
Chendol is made from ice shaving over red beans, some jelly and topped with sugar syrup and coconut milk.
Both my wife and I had the chendol.
I remember hearing before that "desserts" is "stressed" spelled backwards. So, dessert should be happy and here is a picture of the double happiness.
The price of the chendol there is $3.60 - quite pricey by local standard but I won't complain about the price at the place there and place to sit and chill.
出了些汗后，决定凉快一下来。所以走入滨海湾金沙商场。还好我看到在地下一楼一家食阁销售本地的食品，包括chendol这个1983年的咖啡 馆。我的妻子和我点了chendol。对不起，chendol也不会翻中文。
Chendol的料包挂红豆，一些果冻加上刨冰并淋上糖浆和椰浆。
甜点品就是让人欢喜。两碗甜品不是等于双喜临门吗？应该是双喜临桌吧。

该Chendol价格是$3.60 - 在新加坡本地算相当贵，但在那商场里不得抱怨了这样的价格了。
