STREAT – An event of Singapore Food Festival (2016) – my first post

This is my first post but rather than doing an intro about myself, I’m sharing something well associated with where I’m from - Singapore. One of the thing we are known for in Singapore is “food”. We host a variety of local and international food offering low budget to premium price to satisfy different gastronomic pleasures. In a land that is fully wired and wified (if there's such word), we are in no shortage of food bloggers. If you have been to Singapore, I’m sure one of the thing you miss is our food.

Last weekend, I visited one of the events of the Singapore Food Festival 2016.

While the event last weekend was planned for 1700h to 2230h, there was already a small crowd at about 1630h. Tables were set by the pier with a great view of the Marina Bay.

Certainly beats dining in an expensive restaurant nearby for the view although the food at the stalls is hardly what you consider low budget.

As the clock continues to tick, the crowd grew bigger and it is no easy feat finding a table with free seats.

TIP: Going by the experience from previous food festival events…. Likely that those that requires reservation will be crowded. Those not requiring reservation will be more crowded. So, go early to grab a seat.
