Preamble: How old is our civilization? The answer to this question keeps changing over the last 2,000 years and will continue to change as we learn more and more about “our past”. One thing is clear – our “civilization” isn’t the first to have existed on this planet.

Just how many civilizations existed before us? The “oldest” civilization that is widely accepted at this time is the Sumerian which is believed to have existed around 4000 BC. Not everyone agrees though since several other pieces of “history” are not accounted for. The giants mentioned in the bible, the “fluvial” erosion in the body of the Sphinx in Egypt that could not have occurred before 10,000 BC, the Nephilim mentioned in Genesis (6:4) who took earthy women for wives who gave birth to the “giants”, the Anunnakis - believed to have created humans by altering ape’s DNA and ruled over earth for over 400,000 years plus the recent discovery of a 700,000-Year-Old Stone Tools found in the Philippines used to butcher a Rhino.

History as we know it is incomplete and convoluted with mythology. But advances in technology is allowing us to separate history from myths.

Who or what created us and for what purpose? I think this is the ultimate riddle that sentient beings like us should strive to get an answer for. Imagine that you woke up one day with no memory of who you are. Would you not spend the rest of your life finding out who you really are, who your parents were, whether you have a family etc.? In a way, this is what happened to us. We forgot. Or maybe something tricked us to forget our true nature and our rightful place in the universe.

It is clear that "higher knowledge" has been deliberately hidden from us for thousands of years. Therefore, you and me are beholden to uncover and bring this information out to enlighten the world. To end the battle between knowledge and ignorance. To free us from the obstruction caused by established dogmas and lies; for this knowledge could lead us to a greater understanding of our universe and of ourselves.

What is the Mahabharata?

The Mahabharata or the “Great Epic of the Bharata Dynasty”, is one of the two Sanskrit epic poems of ancient India (the other being the Ramayana). The Mahabharata is an important source of information on the development of Hinduism between 400 BCE and 200 CE and is regarded by Hindus as both a text about dharma (Hindu moral law) and a history.

Appearing in its present form about 400 CE, the Mahabharata consists of a mass of mythological and didactic material arranged around a central heroic narrative that tells of the struggle for sovereignty between two groups of cousins, the Kauravas (sons of Dhritarashtra, the descendant of Kuru) and the Pandavas (sons of Pandu). The poem is made up of almost 100,000 couplets—about seven times the length of the Iliad and the Odyssey combined—divided into 18 parvans, or sections, plus a supplement titled Harivamsha (“Genealogy of the God Hari”; i.e., of Vishnu).

Although it is unlikely that any single person wrote the poem, its authorship is traditionally ascribed to the sage Vyasa, who appears in the work as the grandfather of the Kauravas and the Pandavas. The date and even the historical occurrence of the war that is the central event of the Mahabharata are much debated.

The Vimana - The Flying Machines

Antiquity is filled with stories of beings, materials and flying objects that, according to modern day thinking, should not have existed. Those who have studied ancient mythology would know that a large amount of evidence exists today to turn those ‘mythical stories,’ into stories of possible ancient history.

“The mythology of the Eskimos says that the first tribes were brought to the North by “gods” with brazen wings. The oldest American Indian sagas mention a Thunderbird who introduced fire and fruit to them. The Mayan legend, the Popol Vuh, tells us that the “gods” were able to recognize everything; the universe, the four cardinal points of the compass, and even the round shape of the earth. What are the Eskimos doing talking about metal birds? Why do the Indians mention a Thunderbird? How are the ancestors of the Mayas supposed to have known that the earth is round?” – Erich Von Daniken

The world vimana is Sanskrit and has multiple meanings, from the palace of an emperor or god to a vehicle. Today, the word means aircraft.

Vimanas are described in the Mahabharata as “They roar like off into the sky until they appear like comets.”; “Powered by winged lighting…it was a ship that soared into the air, flying to both the solar and stellar regions.”

According to the texts, these vimanas were used to transport the gods through the heavens. They are flying machines which are navigated at great heights with the aid of quicksilver and a great propulsive wind. The Vimanas could cover vast distances and could travel forward, upward and downward. Enviably maneuverable space vehicles.

The Mahabharata also tells the history of the “unmarried Kunti,” who not only received a visit from the sun god but also had a son by him, a son who is supposed to have been as radiant as the sun itself. This matches stories in numerous ancient texts in numerous cultures and religions, stories of ‘gods’ interbreeding with humans, like the story Moses, or like Gilgamesh, or Aryuna in the Mahabharata, or the Nephilim in the Bible.

An interesting example of a vimana is the flying machine which Salva, an ancient Indian king, acquired from Maya Danava, an inhabitant of a planetary system called Taltala. The Mahabharata narrates such account as follows:

"The cruel Salva had come mounted on the Saubha chariot that can go anywhere, and from it he killed many valiant Vrishni youths and evilly devastated all the city parks."

The Mahabharata also provides specific measurements of these Vimanas. One such measurement describes it as having twelve cubits in circumference, with four strong wheels, approximately 20 to 25 feet in circumference, about seven feet in diameter. The Vedas, ancient Hindu poems, thought to be the oldest of all the Indian texts, describe Vimanas of various shapes and sizes: the Ahnihotra Vimana with two engines, the Elephant Vimana with more engines, and other types named after the kingfisher, ibis and other animals. According to Veda the Surya dev (God of Sun) and Indra (God of thunder) and several other Vedic deities are transported by flying wheeled chariots depicted to be pulled by animals, usually horses.

In 1975, Swami Dayananda Saraswati concluded, after having studied the Rig-Veda that flying machines did exist in ancient India. In his work entitled “Rigaveda Bhashya Bhumika”, he mentions aircraft in the Vedic mantras that: “is going from one island to another with these crafts in three days and nights… and just an intelligent people constructed ships to cross oceans… jumping into space speedily with a craft using fire and water… containing 12 stamghas (pillars), one wheel, three machines, 300 pivots, and 60 instruments…”

As a child I was enthralled with the work of Erich Von Daniken and shows like In Search Of that covered these mysteries from antiquity. For me the drawings were the proof. Not knowing the ancient languages we have to rely on those who interpret them to tell the truth, but the drawings that have been discovered, as well as the monuments that are only visible for what they are from the sky reveal a truth any can know without interpretation.

I never heard of Erich until a few days ago when I stumbled upon his documentary series in Amazon prime. His concepts seem interesting similar to that of Sitchin. Both of them sounds like acquaintances if not good friends. He is one of the few who believes in the Nibiru story as true and historical. I should explore more of his works.
