Gladiolus – Pencil, watercolor – 7 x 12 inches.

It’s always fun to draw, even if you don’t finish what you’re “working on.” Perhaps it would be better to say “playing with,” because drawing feels more like play than work. But then we live in a culture that does not look kindly on play. Playing is for children: adults should work, we should be productive.

A while ago on a license plate holder I saw the following message: “Jesus is coming. Look busy.”

I like this sketch and that you used your watercolour paper as a palette to test the colours. The topic of this sketch obviously due to summer and flowers that around us :)

By the way JM, was thinking that you might find this post interesting Juan is a Watercolor Artist and he also started to do tutorial for Steemians

Thank you so much for the kind words and the link, stef1. I love what Juan is doing. I have considered the idea of tutorials before, but at the moment I don't feel I can spare the time. I will keep it in mind for the future, however.
