My Thursday Favorites #26 Contest Entry – How I Relax

I relax by sleeping. I usually can go to sleep easily and like to do it. I do not normally dream, and love these deep times of blackness. I wake up feeling energized and ready to get up and face another day.

I pretty much work all the time, and have been like this my whole life. If I am not working, I am doing things I need to do so I can keep working. This includes eating, exercising, and other tasks of daily living. Any task I do is so I can keep going on whatever mission I have at the time.

By the time I am ready to sleep, I am going to be tired, and drop right off to sleep as soon as my head hits the pillow. For the odd times I can’t sleep right way, I have a lot of podcasts saved on my hard drive with topics I want to learn about. I put one of those on and usually fall asleep as soon as I start listening to it.

I sometimes run into people who talk about tv shows or movies they think we all should be watching. They are going to “binge watch” something as a way to relax. I cannot think of anything I would hate to do more than that. If I get into a dark movie theater, I am going to sleep.

I lost "Half My Size" eight years ago by using natural methods. No tricks, just doing a bit better every day. I started on October 10 one year, and did not give up. Four years later, on October 5th, there I was - thin and healthy for the first time in my life. You can do it too!

I enjoy sleeping too :) On good days, i.e. when I am super tired, I will sleep all the way till morning. And on days I find it hard to fall asleep, I just need to do some reading and my eyes will start to get heavy hehe. When you listen to your podcast and fall asleep, do you suddenly wake up to the sounds of your podcast or are you not affected?

Sometimes the sounds do wake me up, @marblely but rarely. I have a lot saved where they kind of drone on and do not have music at the end.

It can take me a few weeks to get through an hour long podcast sometimes as the voice puts me to sleep in 5 minutes!
