Tag 20 / Day 20

Diese zwei Tage sind das erste Wochenende an dem ich richtig am Bau gearbeitet habe! Mit einem Freund war unsere Aufgabe, die angezeichneten Stellen für Steckdosen, Schalter, Thermostate und sonstige Dosen aus der Wand zu fräsen und die entsprechenden Zuleitungen auszustemmen. In meinen Planungen habe ich alle Stromleitungen so konzipiert, dass in keinem Raum eine Ringleitung entsteht. Ich wollte die Wege so kurz wie möglich halten und große Teile völlig stromfrei halten.

These two days are the first weekend in which I have worked properly in the construction! With a friend, it was our job to mill the points for sockets, switches, thermostats and other cans out of the wall and to eject the corresponding leads. In my plans I have designed all the power lines so that in no room a loop is formed. I wanted to keep the distances as short as possible and keep large areas free of electricity.

Raum für Raum kommen wir gut voran. Und natürlich wird immer sofort sauber zusammengekehrt.

Room by room, we are progressing well. And, of course, always cleaning up immediately.

Der Elektriker war ganz entsetzt als ich ihm die Kostenrechnung für die Elektroinstalation zusammengekürz habe. Aber mal ehrlich, für was braucht ein Mensch 8 Steckdosen in der Küche? 4 langen vollkommen aus, und so ging es durch alle Räume. So wurden aus 40 dann 24.

The electrician was quite horrified when I shortened the cost calculation for the electrical installation. But honestly, for what does a person need 8 sockets in the kitchen? 4 are sufficient, and so I went through all the rooms. So it became 24 from 40.
