Tag 14 / Day 14

Heute ist ein aufregender Tag, der Ringanker wird gesetzt! Zuerst aber die Pflicht: nachmessen!

Today is an exciting day, the ring anchor is set! But first the duty: measure!

Und da ist er: der erste Fehler im Bau. Die Küche war das einzige Maß, daß unbedingt genau stimmen musste um meine alte Küche passgenau unterzubringen. Und genau dieses Maß ist um 10 cm falsch. Zum Glück ist die Mauer erst 1 Meter hoch und wird einfach abgebaut. Es ist ja nur geklebt und daher kein Problem.

And there it is: the first mistake in the construction. The kitchen was the only measure that was absolutely necessary to fit my old kitchen. And exactly this measure is false by 10 cm. Fortunately, the wall is only 1 meter high and is simply dismantled. It is only glued and therefore no problem.

Die Aussparungen werden um 10 cm versetzt und die Mauer neu aufgebaut.

The recesses are offset by 10 cm and the wall is rebuilt.

Und nun der Ringanker, der obere Abschluß der Mauer. Zuerst wird mit Styropor nach außen hin verkleidet und innen mit Eisenarmierungen ausgelegt, dann mit Beton aufgefüllt.

And now the ring anchor, the upper end of the wall. Firstly, it is covered with styrofoam to the outside and internally with iron reinforcements, then filled with concrete.

Und fertig! Nun kann der Ringanker aushärten und trocknen.

And done! Now the ring anchor can harden and dry.
