Tag 12 / Day 12
Die zweite Bauwoche ist mit dem heutigen Tag zu Ende. Wie an allen Tagen versuche ich vor Ort zu sein und den Baufortschritt zu dokumentieren und die Ausführung zu überprüfen. Dazu habe ich ein Lasermessgerät und den Bauplan, damit ich alle Maße vergleichen kann. Die Abweichungen betragen etwa 3 cm, also perfekt und keinerlei Anlaß zur Klage oder zur Korrektur.
The second week of construction is over with this day. As on all days, I try to be on site and to document the construction progress and to check the execution. For this I have a laser measuring device and the blueprint, so I can compare all the measurements. The deviations are about 3 cm, so perfect and no cause for complaint or correction.
Die westliche Wand ist nun komplett fertig. Das Gerüst ist angeliefert worden und liegt zum Aufbau bereit.
The western wall is now completely finished. The scaffolding has been delivered and is ready for assembly.

Nordwand mit Aussparungen für Eingangstür und Fenster des Gäste-WCs.
North wall with recesses for entrance door and window of the guest toilet.
Und das ganze von innen, die Nord- und Ostwand. Zu sehen sind kleine Eisenbänder, vorgesehen als Verbindungsteile mit den Innenwänden, die dort entstehen werden.
Now the inside, the north and east walls. Small iron bands can be seen, provided as connecting parts with the inner walls, which will be produced there.
Die Ecke Ost- und Südwand, bereits geliefert und teilweise innen verteilt sind die Innenziegel.
The corner of eastern and southern wall, already delivered and distributed partly inside, the interior bricks.
Die Ecke Süd- und Westwand mit meinem zukünftigen Schlafzimmer, gut zu sehen ist die Dachneigung von 9 Grad. Die später verwendeten Dachziegel könnten zwar auch mit nur 7 Grad verwendet werden, aber sicherheitshalber und um einen guten Wasserabfluß zu bekommen entscheide ich mich für 9 Grad.
The corner south and west wall with my future bedroom, good to see is the roof pitch of 9 degrees. Although the tiles used later could also be used with only 7 degrees, but for safety's sake and to ensure to get good water drainage I decide for 9 degrees.
Die Ecke von West- und Nordwand bildet den Abschluß der Innenansicht für heute.
The corner of western and northern wall forms the conclusion of the Interior for today.

Oh great, I got to page 12 and could not find page 13 onwards. I thought the builders had gone on strike or the house blew up or fell down. Delighted to hear I have 39 more posts to go. Onwards and upwards.
