Pullup CHALLENGE for 7.5 SBD [ EVERY entry gets REWARD in SBD!] - Most pullups, 380 seconds

Hey there sport-loving steemians!

This was initially meant to be a challenge for just a guys I'm connected here with a follow relationship but during writing this I realised it doesn't have to be that closed. Soo I've wanted to challenge fellow jiu jitsu guys @jiujitsu, @embomb701, @bradlovesbeer, @shinedojo, @ramareddy, @bjjlifestyle and a gymnast @booster916 for a pullup contest. Booster gonna probably whoop our asses but whatever, let's make Helio proud at least :D

But as already said above, anyone reading this can take part, you don't have to be my follower or anything! Just submit the video either in the comment or make the post out of it with a tag "pullupchallenge" so all the videos are grouped at one place and you're in. MOST PULLUPS UNDER 380 SECONDS! You can combine various grips as I've done.

Women's count is multiplied by 2!

Edit: We got a sponsor :D (@flipstar)..So here new rewards distribution:

  1. 1st place - 3.5 SBD
  2. 2nd place - 2 SBD
  3. 3rd place - 1 SBD
  4. 1 SBD is distributed among all the rest of participants

Also I'm not taking part in the competition itself. Prizes are just symbolical, cuz I'm no Vitalik, donating cryptos left and right :D I'll send those SBD pennies on Sunday 8pm CET. It's really meant to be just fun and to make Steemit once again a biiit better place, step by step.

I just thought this might be an interesting challenge for all of us to push each other. Especially for me these days, being injured, I'm struggling to have as intense workouts as the ones which happen on the mats during jiu jitsu class.

I was lazy to do a counter by rep so it's done by set. Also video is in 2x speed

So for today, I've done 49 (it was supposed to be 50, but I counted bad :D) pullups as fast as possible and it took me 6:18 minutes - therefore 380 seconds. Form is not perfect ( I'm not going to fully extended locked elbows) but when I'm doing kind of "speed pullup workout", I actually don't do that. But yeah, I guess it's not that bad. What do you think?

Can't wait for your responses and also hope to get some challenges back (doesn't matter if in form of competition or justa video challenge).

I commented before but the internet kind of super sucks here and it did not post. I maybe try to win them back if I can find something but 49 is probably what I do in a year so...not sure if I want expose myself to that ;-)

I know I couldn’t make it to join this challenge but for sure I will enjoy watching my fellow steemians Entry! But it helps me push through what I’m doing right now.

I've quickly checked the average ratio between men and women pullup abilities. Give it a go, your count will be multiplied by 2! :)

Also, I've quickly realized that most of the steemit activity are bots - and they can't do pullups haha :D So I guess your chance to win is good, there won't be many competition entries

Pull ups are my fav excercise! I wish I could join you but as of Monday I have a really bad strain or slight tear in my left shoulder. It will be awhile before any pull ups :) 49 is great! Hopefully some people accept the challenge :)

Wish u fast recovery. What happened? Kimura? I actually thought you're like the unquestionable unbeaten sensei in your gym. Are your whites getting that good, that they strain your shoulders? But I guess you'd be happy if that's the case :)

I have read this post 4 hours ago but you deleted it. I'm not thaaaat good at pullups because I'm fat as fuck at the moment, but we will see. I will participate for sure!

Yepp I've deleted it cuz I realized some of the guys are from US so they might be sleeping 4 hours ago ...like this, there's a bigger chance they'll see it...wasn't sure if they get notified if I reference them in the post, so wanted to make it as visible as possible for them.

Hahh, I've seen Nile doing 40reps in a set, soo I actually expect some crazy number from you :D

I can do around 20 in a set, but I will test it tomorrow, how much I can do in 380sec. Will be funny

Hey there! Nope it finished exactly 24hours ago, here are the results ...check them out und lemme know which place would be yours :) and stay tuned I'mma do the next one soon...probably something with more female-friendly exercise...

Also, the rings are a factor I guess...you are able to get a little bit more of a momentum with stable bar cuz it doesn't swing with you when you're down hanging...so u need more tension and everything, exactly as you've said.. Head up!

I'd love to participate but I'm still working towards my first one. 🤣 However, I hope that women take part in this challenge, there's a pretty nice chance to succeed!

I just found this because Booster's posts come through on my feed. I might give this challenge a go soon.

I normally rest for more than 380 seconds between sets & I'm not used to high rep work but I'll see how I go. Maybe I could do 40 in that time, I don't know.

Heyy there, don't think about it twice and go for it...just hit it as a part of your workout :)

I had two attempts at this today, I did the first one over 3 minutes (I F'd up basically) and the second time was over 6 minutes.
